I have noticed that any money placed in a faction bank does NOT appear as part of an individual's net worth.
If you have cash on hand (wallet, stock) it shows in net worth. If you transfer that money into faction bank, it is subtracted from your net worth.
Is this intentional? i.e. Does it mean that coin is no longer the individuals but is now faction property?
Yes - in the same way if you store money in a PI vault, but you don't own the Private Island, its taken off your net worth
Deposits to the faction armory are donations, according to the game. Any withdrawal capability is the goodwill of your faction.
Interesting information stated above. I did not realize that. Thank you for the clarification.
I would have thought it would be a 'DONATION' rather than a 'DEPOSIT' then.
Deposit gives one a false sense of security. Depends a lot on your trust in faction leaders.
It happened by popular demand, Ched has always said it's inadvisable to use the faction vault for private banking but players wanted it and also the balances. It's not surprising that vault thefts happen all the time.
This is going to be a dumb question, but how do I use the vault in my rented PI????
You can't. The only way to use a PI vault that's not owned by you is through marrying the owner... even then, they'll have to give you vault permission.
Thought so, thanks bro.
Dont use the faction as a piggy bank.
Buy stonkz or items.
or Buy Points, very easy to sell without much price change.
Deposit makes sense, you're depositing money into a vault that's not yours nore do you have ownership of. MOST faction leaders are happy to let people use it safely. Others scam their own members for pennies.
Same thing can happen in a bank goes bankrupt or decides to no longer do business with you.
Also it doesn't count to your NW because totals are editable, that would be absurd.
