Samael requests ~7k losses from me via my agency. Great! Check my feedback, usually have no issues. I'm a responsive and reasonable guy.

Samael starts receiving losses and does not wish to pay up front, i tell him that's fine and i will bill him sporadically. Like all my clients, i provide a spreadsheet which is linked to my team's APIs in order for him to track progress.

Samael refuses to use the sheet and instead insists on using his own events log to send me random payments whenever he felt like it (me being offline included).

I specifically tell all my clients that i will bill them when ready, and usually it's not until the end of their contract and obviously receiving payments every 10 - 300 losses is not ideal when i'm organising the provision of 7k losses.

There was also a instance where he believed he'd sent me 100m which he had not, which caused a multiple day disagreement between us:

Anyway at this point, i've repeatedly asked Samael to stop sending random payments to which he has ignored my requests so i tell him i will only deal with him on an up front payment basis. We do this, 250 losses at a time (since he only wants to pay 250 at a time). after several iterations of this, i reach out to Samael and confirm the total number he needs as we can complete 250 losses in a matter of hours and this is becoming painful for me and i'm sure him.

I agree with Samael that i will complete all his required losses and that he will pay at the end. So fast forward some time, we finish his contract on the 16th September and i ask him for payment multiple times (he owes me 1.3B) and get no response.

2 days later on the 18th, i receive a message asking if he can split the payment between then and the 20th, to which i agree. he pays ~600M on the 18th. The 20th comes along and radio silence from Samael. He still owes me 700M and it's now the 23rd of September, i message his faction leader who tries to get in touch with him. I let Samael know that i will be speaking to his faction before i do this.

Fast forward a few more days of silence to the night of the 24th/25th. and i wake up to mugs worth 50m+. Guess who paid me whilst i was offline for several hours..yep Mr Samael.

I can't see who's been mugging me but you can stop now and you can thank Samael.

Anyway, another Torn lesson learned, hopefully anyone else who has dealings with Samael will be cautious after seeing this.

I never claimed you did not pay.

I said you were several days late in paying, and horrible to deal with communication wise.

You repeatedly sent random payments to me, obviously i need to track these are you make it difficult.

So now, I'm down 50mil for 1 of 2 reasons:
1: you set me up by sending me the cash and telling someone to mug me
2: you are just careless and i got mugged by chance (i don't often get mugged so 1 seems more likely)

The point is I'm really busy this weekend. So I don't reply chat box. I login do crime train. I already pay first payment 695.16M and for the second payment (at that time I'm really busy). I simply told him if you want my attention just sent message or set trade. But instead he go to talk to my leader mike about I'm scammer or bla bla bla. That's the reason I piss off and I send 700M to him. After he got mug isn't my problem. I also told him I don't mug him nor my faction members. Mike can show you guys faction attack logs. This is my side of the story. I told him this is just a game.

if you're sending someone a large amount of cash, and you don't make a minimum effort to ensure that they're available to accept the cash, that is your problem imo. it's like paying for services by leaving a duffle bag of cash on the front porch - yeah the money is there, but don't be a dick.

Yeah not gonna lie, this all seems pretty annoying. One small point is I have no idea why you took him as a client, I'd smash my head into a wall at the random payments Load image: laughing

Money shouldn't be sent offline, regardless of your frustrations. Hopefully in the future we can avoid these issues -- not an excuse of course but there are obviously some language barriers here that don't help with any of the communication issues.

Samael has now sent the 60m i was mugged. If you'd done this in the first place, we could have avoided this unwanted attention. If you'd have just set a trade, or waited for me to be online and messaged me back, there would not have even been any animosity despite the annoying past.

Proxima i took him as a client since I provide a service in Torn and usually don't have these problems. a few bill is not worth the tarnished reputation of a 4000 day old account so risk is relatively low, and in this case, i've ended up being fully compensated yet his name is still tarnished.

I'm well aware we all live lives outside of torn, including me and i have had to develop a system in order to pay my team regularly and have similar issues. The point here is that Samael deliberately screwed me over by sending when offline, then potentially got his non-faction friend to mug me. even if he didn't, he was still careless and left me exposed after i delivered the service.

Was it worth it Samael?

Yeah, we all get the point, and it's paid in full now.

Both Mike and I spoke to him, and all 3 of us have made efforts to remedy the situation. You're covered, and Sam is out an extra $60m as a penalty for his wrongdoing.

Just curious now if this is just all about attention for you.

I have to ask, why would you not get the money upfront from an account with as many enemies as he has?

I'm aware that you said its not worth tarnishing your account thats 4k days old for such a small fee but I'm always very wary when dealing with accounts with a questionable friends to enemies ratio let alone someone over 300 enemies, theres usually a reason they have had that many people add them!

I'm not aware of him being a mugger or a scammer or anything by the way, ive never dealt with or even spoken to him but yea, thats alarm bells to me.

The important thing is you're not down any money, hopefully what i have pointed out here is something you will take into consideration in the future when dealing with people tho as you were lucky to get the money in the 1st place on a game full of soo many dishonest people.

I send money when he offline because he call me scammer and dick head person. So don't be a dick or bitch if you don't know the whole story.

You could just say, everything is settled, discussion closed rather than bring more attention here now...
