Andyman on the grind...
Reserved for next year.
Bet it makes you wish you could trade Karma for treats :p
Came here for the cute pics of shadows and all I got were reserve posts :(
Well I'm saving up.to buy that upgrade that gives 1 free treat an hour so maybe next year.
Please don't do that. its not worth it
Reserved but open to selling my spot for 500b
18:34:50 - 27/10/21 You gained 1,100 treats for your Halloween basket (Shadow of Doubt)
18:34:50 - 27/10/21 You spent 1,000 treats on the 'Shadow of Doubt' upgrade for your Halloween basket

Got mine unlocked yesterday and yep I got 1100 treats in exchange for the 1000.
I then got the ‘+1 treat every hour’ upgrade which I DO think is worth it in the long term. It means I can do more exchanges during the next year/s as I believe you earn approximately 160 free treats for the duration. I’m also debating whether the +0.1% upgrade for 777 treats is worth grabbing.
Anyone done the math on the +0.1% per hour of the amount of treats you are holding ? Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on that. And I cba working it out myself
Shadow of Doubt is WELL WORTH saving for!

If my math by heart didnt fail for each 1000 treats you have in your basket you gain 1 treat
Not sure i'd grab The Inflation it's bad unless you want Cthulu or are playing the long game otherwise it's actually the best perk in the game hands down. IF your willing to play five-ten more years.
It compounds so these numbers are Slightly inaccurate. please account for that these are the bare minimums.
I will only cover certain Treat milestones below and that will become apparent later
1k 168
2k 336
3k 504
5k 840
6k 1,008
8k 1,344
11k 1,848
14k 2,520
17k 2856
21k 3528
25k 4200
Here we see it starts going up by almost 200 more per year if your willing to pass on Cthulhu and aim for the stars you'll definitely see your return grow massively yearly. by over 2k treats per year if you actively play the event.
But how long to get here.
with all the multipliers you'll likely get 1k treats a year if you go all out with meh luck. with the max e you can spend, using a candle shop which you should if your doing inflation. so we will assume 1k avg. plus the Inflation. If you have the additional one treat per hour that one is pretty useless even with inflation. it would take 1k of Halloween days for it to be affected by inflation. in a meaningful way. and that would just increase it to 2 per hour.
Year 1 1k
year 2 2,168
year 3 3,522
year 4 5,026
year 5 6,866
year 6 8,874
year 7 11,218
------------------ And you have lift Off You are now making more treats per year from your perk than from attacks.
year 8 14,066
year 9 17,586
year 10 21442
year 11k 25,970
year 12 31,170
with freebies thats 34287 treats in one redembtion
cashback 3117 treats 3428 with freebie
cashback 311 + freebie = 342
cashback 31 + freebie = 34
cashback 3
you would net 38,094 Treats, max nerve, 2,185 Energy (188,285 E Opportunity Cost), about 2-300 Boosters, 2-300 Multipacks 13-20k candies and 11k 18k alchs after 12 years and 84 days of Game play (not time played just Event days passed)
Please remember these are the bare minimum inflation values and don't take into account the +1k treats gained during the event yearly.
I does need to be noted however that the E wasted could have been redeemed at 200 every time for an additional 7,531 attacks instead of intrest. but unless you avg over 3 treats per hit on over 7.5k attacks you are better off doing inflation if you don't care for the extra attacks and e. as some of those treats are also only gained due to the Opportunity cost it's hard to gauge Exactly how much is being wasted. for example can i say the 3k treats added at 21k by intrest are wasted E since only the first 200 would have been redeemable. and even than, it was the payout on a prior Opportunity cost. So we have to instead look at the 1k treats gained per year so over 12 years you would lose 60k e to opportunity cost. but it will pay double in it's return. If somethings missing please let me know.

Ok...
Ehat shouldn't I go for then?
I got like 200 treats...just bought multipack,
I got like 200 treats...just bought multipack,
Well done.
Risk management points to note:
- Baskets might cap at holding 9,999 treats. No one knows for sure yet. I personally hope not, but Ched gonna Ched.
- The underlying value of treats may diminish by a large amount in the future as markets get flooded with treat items and inventories get saturated.
- Those opportunity cost treats/energy from missing out on dark energy are absolutely huge from a mugging / bounty-hunting standpoint. Especially when those mugging proceeds are invested over half a decade.
- Enen if the market prices of treat exchanged items stays perfectly level, a treat exchanged with the cash invested today is worth at least 21% more than a treat a year from now due to passive yields on safe investments. Some players are averaging over ~1.5% a week trading stock, running multiple companies, trading, etc. with large amounts of capital. (Upwards of 70% a year) inflation will take a much longer time to beat someone earning 70% on their investments.
- Ched has a history of pulling events and features of the game, even events if they have merits tied to them. (RIP Torn of the Dead and the survivor merit... RIP noobs who bought $1 stones, eggs, and snowballs with $1 sell back value, RIP HRG share holders in the old stock market system, etc.) That said, playing the long game is inherently more risky.
- Treats can be exchanged year round. Which means a player can "stash" over 1,000 energy (with freebie/cashback) for use at any time during the year. Having +1,000 extra energy during a vital war, future competition, Valentines Day 50,000 chain (c'mon Ched, release em!), etc. has an amazing value. The Inflation route closes this door.

Wow can't wait for a time when people have millions or billions of treats just like stats xD
people buy stonks at 2%/month paybacks or keep money in the gayman islands at 0,5%/month. Damn right a 3 year payback is worth it on inflation. Whenever i can get there. maybe next year.. haha!!
[Initial investment] multiplied by (1 + 0.001) to the power of how many times the Inflation upgrade will proc.
The event is 7 days long, which means that it will happen 168 times (24*7).
1,100 treats * (1 + 0.001) ^ 168 = 1,301 treats in total. You'd get 201 treats that year from just Inflation.
1,301 treats = 1,538 after getting run through the compounding interest calculation. 237 treats from just Inflation.
5,000 treats * (1 + 0.001) ^168 = 5,914 treats. 914 treats for doing nothing.
You know you'll be attacking throughout the event, too, anyway - nor is this taking into calculation the 168 treats from Mortal Coil every year, either.
I just want to see my number go brrrr.
