Hello Everyone,

Not so long ago, I gave away absolutely all of my available NW. I had a life crushing thing happen to me and I just wanted to remove myself from absolutely everything. Social Media, group chats, family events and also Torn.

My Torn career has been quite under the radar so far with the only significant thing happening to me was being made staff so I thought it would be very easy to just throw it all away but I failed to consider the significant people that had come into my life thanks to this game.

This phrase is said a lot across Torn: 'There is a person behind every profile' and even though we all have crossed paths with our fair share of trolls or bullies, we are more likely to come into contact with kinder souls who are just trying to stay under the radar.

After giving everything I had away, and only logging in to bounty the person who kicked me when I was down, I expected to just be forgotten. To eventually become one of those profiles that might appear in your missions but what I didn't anticipate was the kind souls reaching out to help me in my desperate time of need.

The life crushing event that happened to me, was that my baby passed away. The baby that I had wanted for more than 12 years. The baby that I carried for almost 6 months and the soul thing that gave me reason to live. Now, the Torn community might just be a game to us, something we do to pass the time, to give us an excuse to check our phones or just something to run in the background of our every day web pages but when my life crumbled and stopped, and everything started racing passed me, members of this community, people who didn't really know me, some who had never spoken to me, helped raise over £1,000 toward my little boys funeral and that, for a brief time, turned one or 2 of my tears from sorrow to relief.

Now, the reason for this thread. There is so much rivalry, hate and cruelty on this site sometimes. And as a member of the staff team, I can vouch, we see a lot of it and I wanted to encourage some love by giving away a little of what I have.

2 years ago I joined his faction and left all my money in faction vault (30m is not much but for me it was all I jad at that time) and we got robbed by faction co leader who kicked us all and run away with the money.
I returned to faction knowing Arogandor is not to blame and and he started flying really often and he spent all his income just to return money to the members.
While stocks 2.0 were still a thing he was holding half my cash in stocks and he sent me all the items he got. His bank account was full of my cash. He never scammed.
You won't meet more kind person than Arogandor in Torn.

Ermm I would like to nominate my best friend and also enemy. It was quite a remember event for me as he registered a few days later then me. although I really did feel pissed off at him for the first time.but after returning after quiting torn for several years, I found out that those memories were really interesting and also memorable. It has already 1000+ days passed, and what my spouse says that she will be back has already became a history, but to me, it was quite a pleasure as my dear old friend was already way infront of me.

This guy was just another player i recruited to the faction awhile back. super promising player that got my attention and turned out to be a real nice guy. we check up on eachothers irl situation and he has confided some pretty personal things to me about his life and me the same to him. I would say my faction leader CornHub [2423014] cause gave advice long before I joined his faction. Just like you and MJH he enjoys helping noobs. There is no such thing as a silly question. He is really going the mile for his members and with financial support more noobs can be help to grow. The game is not a race but a life journey that you must enjoy.

I am nominating Justine [1868765]. Justine not only made an impact in my Torn game by bringing me up to WP when I was under 1m stats, she was there during my tough times.

In 2020, a close friend who I loved and cared very much passed by suicide. It dropped me into a mental hell hole which I struggled to get out then but she was there for me.

In 2021, my mental health issues had one of the worst relapse ever and again she was there for me. I had attacks after attacks and for someone who does not know how to share matters IRL, Justine was the person I turned to.

For someone who is behind the (computer) screen, Justine is someone who is always there for me and I would even hope to visit one day to personally thank her for being the reason I am still around IRL.
