So, now that we know the training formula, and have a calculator for it and know how the new training decay works, we can answer the questions on every upper end players mind:
  • How much money do I need to make in a given attack for it to be better than training (assuming you will use SEs)
  • At what point does it become more cost effective to use SEs than FHCs or Cans?
  • Is there a point where it becomes cheaper to use SEs than Xanax?
To do this, I used todays prices:
Booster Energy Provided (Full Voracity) Price Cost / 25e
Refill 150 $ 1,137,500 $ 189,583
Xanax (Max Rehab Cost) 250 $ 4,440,000 $ 444,000
5e Can 8 $ 550,000 $ 1,718,750
20e Can 30 $ 2,100,000 $ 1,750,000
25e Can 38 $ 2,690,000 $ 1,769,737
15e Can 23 $ 1,700,000 $ 1,847,826
10e Can 15 $ 1,230,000 $ 2,050,000
30e Can 45 $ 4,120,000 $ 2,288,889
FHC 150 $ 15,000,000 $ 2,500,000
Now, using our new formula, we can figure out (assuming a specialist 8* gym and 10% steadfast with ~5000 happy) how much energy it takes at different stat levels to gain 1%, then use that value to come up with an effective gain per 25e you'd need to make attacking more efficient than training. We can also use this value to compare to the booster costs above to determine at what points boosters become less cost efficient than using SEs.

Note the "cost" for 25e goes up after 500T because of the SE gain cap.

So - using this, we can conclude:
  • FHCs become less cost efficient than SEs at about 1.8B in a stat
  • 30e cans become less cost efficient than SEs at about 2B in a stat
  • 25e cans become less cost efficient than SEs at about 3B in a stat
  • Xanax is ALWAYS more cost efficient than SEs even at max rehab costs
  • 25e cans become cheaper than SEs again at about the 2 Quadrillion mark (Realist is not far off...)
  • Finally... we can be a bit silly and figure out that above 90 Quadrillion in a stat, it actually becomes more BOOSTER effective to use FHC than to SE. So once people get to that range, SEs are obsolete. This is because above that mark, you gain more than 5T (one capped SE use) with a single 150e train.
Hopefully this helps some people make decisions. You can also use this to help determine how valuable your energy is for mercenary work, or what size mugs you need to achieve. For example, above 10B in a stat, as long as you're making >1m per hit, you're doing better than training (assuming you put the money towards SEs)

SEs continue to be (until 90 Quadrillion, anyway), far and away, the best way to gain if money is not an issue, however, as you gain a full 1% for 6 hours of booster cooldown.

TL;DR - Lots of math, don't use cans for training after 3B in a stat, just SE at that point if you have the cash. Continue to train with Natural Energy / Refills / Xanax though unless you are a baller where money is no issue.

So basically if you SE from 3b stats you need 1209 SE’s to go to SE cap of 500t

140 SE’s more and 25E cans become less expensive again….

So whoring a stat till you have used 1349 SE’s and than start whoring your second stat would be a nice goal :D
If you go all in it will take you 335 days per stat and less than 4 years for all 4 stats. Sounds okay with one minor problem: $$$$$

Yeah I understood.

I was just curious how much SE’s you needed before switching back.
Realist and Shaz both show that it is doable (for a rare few) to get there..

Great, thanks for doing the math!

The part of cans that annoy me is that fluctuating prices and to determine when it's still worth it to buy it at what price etc. I'd rather lose 500K stats than watch the market all day to see them get a decent price.

If you're going to add more calculators, is it possible to add a calculator for can prices to see when it won't be worth it anymore after X stat? So, for instance: if you enter 25E cans are at $1.8M then it gives the result from what point you shouldn't train that specific battle stat anymore?
Vladar [1996140]
Hard to do - it depends on faction steadfast, toleration, which gym you have unlocked, job specials… etc

Someone else can make it though, the formula is available :)

Point refills are always more cost effective than SE but they don’t use booster CD so it’s not really a question - you should always point refill.
