Firestarters snuff out

Well, it finally happened. After almost a week straight of nonstop fighting, the Firestarters have stopped.

From the first hour, we were targeted heavily. Hell, we never even saw 100+ tickets again - but we kept going. Jean Therapy, Satant's Soldiers, Laughing Stock and Dirty cops - every time someone was on the bottom, they were butting heads with us. 3 and a half teams is damn good!

Unfortunately, due to a mix of internal politics and burnout, we couldn't keep it up forever, and here we are. Honestly, most members knew we were done when Laughing Stock went down, and we were still sitting on 15 lives, but we took on the mentality of not going down without a fight. We were here to cause chaos and f**k s**t up, and that we did. With Dirty Cops now sitting at 30 tickets, we hope our efforts were enough to take them down with us. Sorry ;)

I speak on leadership's behalf when I say that I'm extremely proud of all of you. Everyone who made hits, who made pushing possible, who MADE US THE #1 OUTGOING HITS TEAM IN ELIMINATION! Especially those in leadership, council and helpers, who took the time out of their lives to lead pushes, negotiate alliances and rally the team.
Special thanks to Jairyll, Badwolf0691 and Lasloa, who were always making chat fun; YellowFlash, who covered my ass during some laggy pushes; and SmallSplat, king of motivation.

I hope all of you enjoyed elims this year despite our placement, and those of you new to it learnt a thing or two. I hope to see all of you next year when we go for first!

Firestarters leadership was the true laughing stock of this competition.

Feel so bad for the members who put in so much work. Amazing pushes... like wtf, we targeted Firestarters and Wolf Pack took the life loss with nobody on them. You guys fought to the very end.

i had a lot of fun this year. i told myself i'd never participate in elims again after last year, but i just couldn't help myself. 3rd year in a row i've made it as a first-page hitter, sorry to any comrades hoping for a top 5% slot lol rip git gud

anyway, i blame the drama for our demise. after the flips, we became what seemed more like an ungovernable mob of arsonists. we were strong, insanely active, and militantly dedicated to the cause even in the absolutely obvious end

with our sheer refusal to die ever since the very start of the event, almost every spoiled brat team has felt the flame. faced with by far more attacks than any other team, we lasted far longer than we were given permission for

Totally loved the event even tho it ended pretty quickly for us.

Being part of council Met loads of experienced people, making calls and discussing what's best for the team with vets who've done this over and over again, couldn't have asked for a better spot as a nublet :D

Hope to meet ya'll again in Torn very soon.

Last year, which was my first, I was part of VS. I guess I kinda expected it? Happy to have put up a fight till the end, though.

Keep that spark alive. You did well on fighting for those last lives for the full time you sat at the bottom. Best of luck next year!

I'm so glad I got put on this team! My first Elim and I had so much fun!!! I wasn't even planning on doing elims but my faction leader talked me into it! I feel honored I was mentioned in your post! Glad I made the chat fun for everyone. Since I didn't know much about elims I figured helping keep the morale up would help!!! Sad to see us go but proud to know we didn't go down without a fight! that last 2 hours with 1 left was amazing lol!!

Thank you everyone that taught me how elims work! See yall badass arsonists next year!

After the s**tshow I went through on VS last year, the vibe on this team was a breath of fresh air. Little did I know that some of the same figures would sabotage our chances even when NOT on the same team. Sucks that our original leadership flamed out so bad but kudos to KingLion, Jairyll, and smallsplat for keeping things positive, Babydoll for keeping me sane, the rotating group of push-callers, bountiers, and all the insane pyromaniacs that kept it all going as long as it did. We had a bit of it all...fun, drama, betrayal, chat trolls, triumph, heartbreak, and horrifying posts in the NSFW discord channel. It was an honor to fight with you all.

You guys were a real pain in the ass at times, Happy to see you lads made it just a bit further!

Edit: It's a shame we didn't have an ongoing alliance, we could've been known as the Fire Satants. ah well, next time.
