Bloodbath and Beyond is planning their 2nd Halloween 100k chain!


ANNNNND we are extending an open invite to the Torn community! We did the same earlier this year with our Valentine's Day 100k. If you're a merit hunter, you already know that Chainer 5 is a bit of a pain in the ass to get and there are only a few opportunities each year to get it. This is one of those opportunities - If you're interested in obtaining the merit or guesting with us for the full event, we have some options for you!


We are accepting nearly anyone who would like to guest with us!

• Friends of Bloodbath and Beyond are always welcome to chain with us without the need for a deposit.
• Others that are interested in guesting in the 100k with us will be asked for a deposit which will be returned in full upon the chain's end. The guest must commit to remaining active for the full chain length and to put in a reasonable effort.
• Details of these expectations can always be discussed further if needed.

NEW - We will also offer the option to buyout the merit. Once paid, all you would have to do is come in, drop a hit, and leave. No need to stay the full 100k. Of course, players in recruit status cannot contribute to a chain and thus must wait out the 3-day period before dropping a hit that is eligible for the merit. This can be a great option for players that hate chaining or are simply unable to commit to the 100k.


We are aware that other factions are also welcoming guests in order to complete 100k chains this Halloween. For anyone interested in exploring these options with B3, know that we will cover all logistics and chain watch schedules for the 100k. Our team will be putting in a LOT of time and energy to get this done. We will do our absolute best to ensure the success of this chain and have implemented several safeguards, so if for any reason the chain fails, we will refund 100% of all deposits and buyout purchases. For reference, our pricing will be in the range of other "very rare" merits. (But less than the collector)

Specific dates/times will be sent out directly as we finalize the guest list.

Keep in mind - Writing down your name isn't a guaranteed spot - Nothing is set in stone until we reach out and confirm directly with you. We will only have a limited number of slots and it will be on a first come, first serve basis.

06/10/23 Update -


As of today, we have slowly begun reaching out to friends and players. Thanks for the overwhelming response! For transparency, deposits have been set at 200m, refunded upon chain completion (same as Valentine's Day) and 500m for a merit buyout. Xanax and refills will be provided for the entirety of the chain.

Those unable or do not want to guest with us but are still looking to do a 100k can always check out this faction, or any other awesome faction that also has open invites available over in this thread. If more slots open up, we will invite the next player in line or bump the thread to let you know!

Damn, I would have joined (even planning to put in a 'more than reasonable' effort) but unfortunately due to my exams in college I won't be able to commit to being active for most of my waking hours so I plan to log-in and dump hits in the downtime between exams. I'll try in 2024 Load image: cry.

this almost feels like a bug because it trivialises it to such an extent - attainment really does feel hollow if acquired through those means

I mean buying defends is also in some way "abusing". Like whats the cool thing in buying losses? You dont actually getting defend in fun way of being able to outplay your attacker with your loadout.

I understand you don’t like us and that’s fine - I also understand there were some stupid things that happened during the island war between you and some of our members and I took an active role in resolving it, but we dissolved taxes and whatnot a very long time ago. We had our asses blasted by the community before and made changes to improve and change that outlook.

Regarding your earlier question: We haven’t decided on a firm number for both, but I will update the thread and OP for full transparency once we do so nobody feels like we’re hoodwinking anyone. This was posted in advance to help us plan and see what the interest in joining us looks like.

We will keep our expectations fair. If someone guests with us to chain and goes inactive or trains hundreds or even thousands of E, you can expect that to not fly. Stealing a pre-negotiated bonus from a member or guest wouldn’t be cool either.

Guests won’t have to make 1% of hits like how most factions require. Just be cool, drop hits each day, and that’s pretty much it. SSL doesn’t matter. No need to go nuts with boosters or setting xanax timers. Load image: smiley
