How does it work?

This script takes into account:

  • Your crime skill level
  • Your target type (e.g. Elderly man, Young man..)
  • Your target's build (Muscular, Average..)
  • Your target's current activity (On Phone, Walking)

----
Using that information, it colors your target:

  • Ideal XP gains (bright green)
  • Good XP gains (light green)
  • Low XP gains (dull green)
  • Risky Target / not worth (red)

R+ this script makes it super easy to do pickpocketing. Best part is the recommendations takes your CS into account. Super intuitive UI too.

Shame it doesn't work on PDA but commenting and subscribing to the thread to remind me to check in future

God job nonetheless, R+

Version 0.5 Update
  • Changed classy lady to start at CS 35 (too many crit fails at CS 10-34)
  • [background color=var(--bbc-body-bg-color)]Changed thug to start at CS 65 (too many crit fails at CS 35+)[/background]
  • Changed cyclist to start at CS 90 (too many crit fails at CS 80+)
Been out for a bit! But back now.

Tweaked a couple levels. Not exactly following the original guide because of that, but should cause fewer crit fails.

Love to hear it's helping, Happy! Thanks for the feedback.
----

Just released new version v0.6 - https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/477842-pickpocket-helper

Minor update, based on updates to Emforus's data.
  • Updated Mobster to be the 99+ CS category. Not generally worth it, there are better options.
  • Updated risk assessment to mark a few activities/builds as more risky
What I'm looking at for the next update i.e. v0.7 -
  • Hints on why the script is marking a target as red (e.g. build [muscular], vs activity [running], vs CS level)
  • Hopefully this will be the update where we finally get TornPDA support :)

v1.0 - The big day has come! - we now have TornPDA support. Download here.

Full list of updates:
  • Color-blind support: Tweaked colors to be readable for people who experience color-blindness. This should work for protanopia, deuteranopia, or tritanopia. If you experience any of these and have ANY issues, please let me know. I would be more than happy to work with you to figure a solution.
  • Added color for build and activity
  • Added color for target type (e.g. Businessman) based on your current CS level
  • Added CS experience bonus to the end of target types
-----------------------------------------------------

I now consider this script feature-complete. :)

It tells you what targets to hit based on difficulty, and takes your CS level as well as the target type/build/activity into consideration.

There is no other information to take into account, or to show you. If new data comes out, I will update the script accordingly.

Good luck - hope to see y'all at lvl 100 soon!

Works perfectly on PDA, and for some one to actually care about us colourblind people is a giant f**king bonus

Thank you

Hey Terekov I love this script…

one question: are the highlight name colors and the color surrounding the button suppose to be the same?

e.g the student and the sex worker here. Have different name colours to their button color

My understanding on this is the target is green because typically they would be in your range, but due to a change in status or maybe build they are red. Like a distracted homeless person is red when all the other statuses have them green.
Terekhov [2992325]
IndyCar has it right.

Re: Distracted, it is counter-intuitive I agree, but it appears that a number of types are actually _more_ dangerous when distractd.

For the details/stats on that, check out Emforus's guide; that is what the script goes off of, for the most part. https://www.torn.com/forums.php#/p=threads&f=61&t=16358739&b=0&a=0

Great script, been using it for a while now! Noticed one thing, Seems like status isn't being taken into account. I'm cs level 88 and walking businesspeople aren't being marked red. Also the guide says cyclists are good at level 80 not 90.

If you're on mobile, I'm aware of this issue. It has a hard time figuring out activity, which is basically an icon with a random number. Will look into that in the next week or so if there's a good way to figure it out on mobile.

If you're seeing this on desktop please let me know, that's not something I'm aware of.
