Chat issues with multiple tabs open

Okay I saw several reports of this earlier but they are all marked as fixed even though it is definitely NOT fixed. Every time we have a war we all have the same issue - when multiple tabs are open chat stops updating, doesn't connect to the server, doesn't let you type, doesn't let you open new chats, and starts showing random numbers on the People tab despite there being no new individual chats. I have just confirmed that this still happens without any scripts or extensions, in an incognito window, and after clearing cache. I am using Chrome on Windows. As an example, these two screenshots were taken a few seconds apart yet show the chat updated to completely different points, and neither connecting to the server. And they stay that way, most of the time. Sometimes they'll connect after like... 5-10 seconds, but that's 1. absurdly long, and 2. not remotely useful in a war when you have to change tabs frequently.

Relatedly, when switching between tabs/windows, the whole chat window blinks out and back in and sometimes gets stuck blank, like below. This blinking in and of itself is extremely annoying and probably an epileptic trigger.

Will say that I have same problems, even with browser tab switches.
Faction page won't show anything after many refreshing for page.
Chat says there's message unread, but chat tab is open and not going away until some time.
While toggling even 2 browser tabs, had occasions where from one tab message was sent and when switching over, message was not deliver, happened few days ago while trade was open. (I usually have my items or properties tab opened as extra to jump over quickly there if needed some quick action).

I haven't been able to capture it on video, but other times it also gets stuck longer on "connecting to server" and does that blinking thing several times.
