You sent $15,000,000 to HoboTrash with the message: For Armor

Go pick up a full combat set for Armor, an enfield as your primary and a macana for your melee and you should be set

Also make sure you buy ammo for the enfield after. It uses 5.56 rifle rounds

Enjoy!

Combat armor, diamond bladed knife and armalite. If that's too expensive get a macana, an enfield and leather armor, then upgrade to combat armor when you can afford it.

Surely your faction has stuff you can loan out? And you're making plenty of money from the cache farming (you're in a cache farm, in case you didn't know).

Even my poor ass gives my members basic shit like Armas and combat armor, and most of my personal rw gear is in there for the faction to use.

Looks like flare already hooked you up with cash and others with info, but I'd say:
  • Primary: Armalite is the end goal, buy a decent Enfield until you get there
  • Secondary: BTMP9, QSZ, or maybe a Blowgun if you want to be funky
  • Melee: Macana, DBK, or Metal Nunchaku. Probably Macana is the best bang for your buck.
  • Armor: As much Combat as you can, though there's a case to be made for Full Body Armor vs. the Combat chest piece (assuming you aren't working at a Private Security Firm, where you get a bonus for set armor). Full Body has slightly lower armor value than Combat (or Flexible Body Armor), but covers way more of your body. Armor only triggers to reduce damage if the attack hits a covered area, so while Full Body gives a smaller reduction, it'll catch (and reduce) way more attacks.

I'm level 90, poor relative to my spending, and have pretty unbalanced stats. Can anyone suggest a Marauder Helmet that won't break the bank?

Now you 1/1000 closer to the cheapest one on the market!

I'd be surprised if Organized Goose Co-Ops armory didn't have something while you get on your feet. Never really taken a close look at them so idk but at a glance they probably have something in the armory

enfield is useless (worse than macana) and armalites are rarely worth the squeeze, buy a decent DBK, combat armor set and be done with it
Tuit [2257608]
yes, i would. its not hard to determine the damage output of a weapon.
Gold Plated AK-47
Nock Gun
ArmaLite M-15A4 Rifle
Prototype
PKM
are the only primaries with better damage output than macana. enfield is a waste of time.

and only the GAK is worth reloading out of all of those.
Dual MP5s
Jackhammer
Dual Bushmasters
Mag 7
All do better damage output/ turn than the enfield but all of them including the enfield are worse than just using a macana.

items with green #s are better than macana.
mag 7 is way cheaper than enfield. both suck.

macana is 100k and is like .04% worse than a dbk on average.

if you have any more questions regarding damage output lmk!

you absolutely can't look at base damage of the two weapons to compare melee and guns.
If you get a gun your first priorities should be to start getting hold of IN and TR ammo and using it when you can.
Second priority mods.

With shoplifting giving out special ammo it's easier and quicker than ever for even new players to start getting some.

So for a gun you should at least be assuming +40% to the base damage, or +10 to the accuracy, and that's not even considering mods (which, tbf a new player will take longer to get hold of).
In any difficult fight you should aspire to use that.

That said, if you are really small stats in a cache farm with a big top end, like this guy, you'll mostly either be doing distraction hits or chaining on outsiders, I'd assume. So you'd probably get by fine with just a macana or DBK. (That and/or guns should definitely be available from armory though). If money is tight and the armory is empty, putting the money into combat armor rather than weapons is probably a good call, since not getting one-shot gives you a slightly better chance of getting a hit in, joining a fight, or saving the chain, and hence earning some $.
