Correlation|Xanax usage| Drug cooldown|Overdosing

I understand drug overdosing is random, however I seem to notice that at instances when i have prolonged episodes of lengthy drug cool downs e.g. >7.5 hours, the frequency of my overdosing is reduced.
Also I note that my overdosing has reduced after ceasing drug pack opening.
Lastly, there is chatter that overdosing increases when using Faction drugs for a considerable time.
I would welcome any experiences you've encountered.

Yeah company special (nightclub) and faction perk can help. The rest of that don't matter. Just myth.

However me and my friends avoid using xanax from our armory now. My buddy Pula keeps buying shit xanax and we keep getting OD. Blame him.

I have long suspected our faction leader stores them rectally before depositing into Armory.

Gotta get more across the boarder somehow.

There really does seem to be a higher overdose chance for faction armoury xanax. Maybe to introduce a subtle nerf to xanax for wars and chains. Who knows.

My statistics:

Personal: 762 good / 11 ODs / 1.44%
Faction: 82 good / 3 ODs / 3.66%

Not really a large enough sample size to be conclusive but it does confirm my preexisting bias.

That may be because you're just taking lesser Xanax overall since you're chasing the other drug merits so you're taking drugs that have lower chances of OD'ing.

I love how widespread the rumour that faction xanax is tainted and has higher OD rates spreads across the game.

This can be tested.

Calculate, say, the second order correlation function of when a xanax OD takes place. Nothing escapes this test. It is in fact one of several methods used to assess the quality of single photon emitters for quantum communications.

The result will be distinctly non-Poissonian if Ched is doing some shenanigans. I don't think Ched is doing research level math to pull wool over us.

But Torn seems to enjoy sporadically "noticing patterns" where there are none. It is his game design philosophy to leverage randomness in this way.

So who knows? I certainly haven't bothered to do the necessary calculations and live within the bliss of trusting Ched on faith. <3

By the way, shooting twice in RR is profitable folks! I've given up speaking the truth about probability and have been won over by the profitability of disinformation. To heck with misrepresenting conditional probabilities! They are the real odds anyway!
