Nar_Cos Memorial Thread

Dear friends,

as his faction mates, with a heavy heart we would like to inform Torn Community that yesterday afternoon our beloved co-leader Nar_Cos (Duncan) had passed away. We were told that he was surrounded by his whole family and his last hours had been pain free. 

Despite knowing Nar_Cos had been unwell for a while and treatments hadn't worked, the sudden deterioration of his health had taken us aback. His light hearted and smart humor on faction chat will truly be missed. It is heart breaking that now we can't embark on discussions with him on several topics from sports to music while he would be watching the chain for hours just to only hit if someone asked for help. We had always been impressed by his positive attitude, his dignity and friendliness and we can only hope to be able to carry on his legacy.

Though Nar_Cos may no longer be with us in body, his spirit remains alive in our hearts, echoing in every smile, every kind gesture we share in his memory.

Let's use this thread to share our memories of him and our gratitude to get to know the truly remarkable person he was.

Rest in peace Nar_Cos. Didn't get to know you super well, but had the privilege of spending some time in Chromatic recently and even with limited interaction got to know you as a very sweet and kind person. I know you'll be missed a tonne. Lots of love to your family, and the rest of Chromatic. <3

sadly I've never had a chance to meet you in personrest in peace man hope you've managed to live the life you wanted happily, condolences to all of your acquittances but now fly high big man.Theres nothing left for you to worry about...😔

Although I didn't know Nar_Cos personally, I did have the opportunity to interact with him a few times in faction chat. Even in those brief exchanges, it was clear that he was a genuinely lovely and thoughtful person. His positivity and kindness left a lasting impression on many of us. Nar_Cos will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him, even in passing. Rest in peace, Duncan. My deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and all who were close to him during this difficult time.

I'm so sorry to hear this news. It was Nar_cos who reached out to us to let us know Year_Zero had passed and he did his best to get confirmation. He seemed like a great bloke from my interactions with him. Condolences to his friends and family.

I didn't interact with Nar much when I joined Chrome, but when I did he was very funny, intelligent and patient.

I didn't know he was unwell so this came as a shock to me, but I'm happy to hear he had his friends and family, and that it was comfortable and painless in the end.

RIP Nar, being Scottish I know you gave your illness absolute hell, not the other way around.

A really cheerful and kind individual. Rip, Nar_Cos. You will be much missed.

The world lost an amazing soul. I am so grateful to have known him and proud to call him one of my closest friends. 

Im heart broken and miss him so f**king  much. He would inform about how my day was every single day.... He'd pour out a digital Rojia for me on Friday evening  to celebrate the start of the weekend or would "make" his legendary lasagna with garlic bread... 

God, how he missed solid food during his illness.... Ever since he found out about his cancer I feel he took me along every step on the way, every scan, every appointment, every chemo... every heartbreaking news...  Until it all suddenly stopped...

Everything went so fast... I can barely grasp the reality he is no longer with us. But I will find peace in the fact he no longer has to fight this battle. f**k cancer.

Thanks hun for all the fun we had. I will miss you.
