Every relic seems to have the ability to be turned on/off, so if any of them are deemed to cause balance issues in future competitions for example, they could always simply be required to switch them off before participating in such events. If Ranked Wars ever got into a position where they were balanced and taken seriously, they could also be required to be switched off to enlist (Or turned off automatically upon enlisting).

Player ran competitions like Torn Tenacity Trials that get sponsored officially might have a harder time with it, deciding whether to exclude these players or not since in some cases competing against them in such an event would be impossible.

There's ways you can accommodate their existence without raining on the parade of the players that were lucky enough to get one.

Loot: The M'aol Tentacle (Doubles natural resource bars and regeneration rates)

Potential Impact: This provides the user with 720E a day extra due to the regenrate doubling. And an additional 150E from refills and FHC! So potentially getting even 750E more a day for a total of 1.470E a day.

That would allow one have twice as much E as anybody else. And since gymgains are now exponential. This gives a serious advantage in potential gymgains.

On yearly basis a normal player gains +/- 75% increase with FHC usage and Xanax. This item, granting 1500E a day extra, boosts that to  150% increase due to the exponential gains.

So a permanent effect to this item in the long run grants a extreme advantage, that is only countered by using 50-60 SEs a year (30b...).

Loot: Ladso Eye (Allows books to be read repeatedly)

Potential Impact: Allows one to read the most powerful books non-stop. So basically the same applies to this item as the item above. It may grant the user lots of extra E.

Loot: Asmol Knuckle (Passive damage bonus of +100%)

Loot: Sylo Tooth (Passive critical hit bonus of +25%)

Potential Impact: This is in my opinion the least impactfull item, as it only provides crit rate and no natural resources advantages.

Loot: Nol Cloachra (Does not use up consumables upon use)

Potential Impact: Allows the consumption of 30E energy cans at no cost in perpetuity. At $4m per can and with the 10* restaurant special, this is worth around $2b per month which translates to around $24b a year, which is the equivalent of winning multiple jackpots every year.

Its a true cost saver.... But its "decent".

Its fine being year round as its untradeable imo

OP yes. But that's why we make so many hits on maol and why he takes a 4 year sacrifice to summon

Milk [2345901]

A four year sacrifice for the incomparable betterment of a handful of people that would all fit in my car?

Private_Joker [2488283]

Okay how you wanted distribution to happen?
Everyone get OP items? No one get OP items?
What distribution would leave players happy? I think none.

Santa_Claus [2660609]

Its one player in a battle. Unless they all get together and create a cult or something.

Its not like anyone has had to deal with a RW against a person who has every advantage before, right?

SpARkS4206967 [2175802]

Exactly.

So now that we know what happens.

You have to wonder how many people will even go for Maol anymore considering that the summoner is most likely going to be flight delayed / trolled.

Summoner has no better chance at loot than anyone else.

So aside from Heasley's next year, will anyone else even summon him again?

Milk [2345901]

These items should not have been introduced to the game. It's as simple as that. Not at this current stage, at least.

None would leave players happy, but the six people who had no idea beforehand that they'd get these items would be a much easier problem to manage than an entire playerbase of pissed off people.

Six ridiculous relics is the dumbest thing they could have done. What about 'oh these God's died and a portal opened to a new city map, where the HoF factions can fight over a better area and leave the original city map, which would then allow lower level factions to advance?'

In a world of great ideas, none were found.

Milk [2345901]

If someone else summons him, I'll make a few attacks. But I have no intentions of wasting my time and effort saving treats up when I could exchange them and sell them for a guaranteed return versus being cucked by Ched.

Have you ever played a game before lmao. You just arguing without any logical sentiment, when normal game developers implement things, they ask how is this tangibly adding value to my game enjoyment and player base. Is this something desirable, do people want this, if it is rare how will adding it be desirable and somewhat fair.

If Call of duty let 4 players every year get rifles which killed people in one shot, I doubt people would be congratulating them on a job well done.

Woulda been easier to drop the armor which isn’t as good as EOD imo, but certainly rare and interesting, along w slightly less OP buffs, or one time use ones for certain periods. Those alone would still be worth obtaining, the ones given are above and beyond. I’d also reduce the NPC HP and make it so cthulu is summonable multiple times an event, all will still be rare but not obscene odds for game breaking shit

Adrenalinas [1974447]

By introducing these OP items and making them permanent, you ensure that one week of gameplay is more important than the other 51 weeks of the year.

Also by making NPCs in other countries you kinda f**ked all non-HOF factions to participate in this event next year, all of us that not belong in the big boys club next year will be hosped overseas and flying will be blocked by DB drop that kinda clear that this will happens and will be prepared and well planed to the next year.

Make items work until the next summon in that way there will be a limited number of them lowering game-breaking disadvantages

Milk [2345901]

Thank you. You are exactly right.

If you're playing a game that's medieval and uses bows and arrows, you wouldn't give someone an AR-15.

Edit: Ched might though, to be fair.

M0rty_ [3351630]

Releasing these items is so wrong in the first place.

They can release Collectibles for those who did participated a lot.

Those who joined or do smth get refills or smth like that.

Gul_le_Necro [2852040]

Of course it s totally OP as f**k.

Having it 1 week. is fun, and part of the event. Having it forever is a nonsense.

Private_Joker [2488283]

@Euphoria im not sure how analogy with CoD is good.CoD is session based shooter, it doesnt have(at least im not aware of it) any progression between games and looting. Also can you become invincible in CoD? Like make it so 99.9% of playerbase cant even damage you?
How people would react if there would be players who they cant damage to? And its not 4 people nooo, its 100 even 1000 depending on your stats.
And yet im not seeing you complaning about it. Hell, you are one of those players, who 99.9% of players cant touch.

wc_how [1311397]

I don't oppose RNG, but when it requires a player to execute it, please respect the players.

However, I still don't support a purely RNG model. For example, summoners should be able to choose who they fight with and have a chance not to loot. Otherwise, there should be specific requirements, like needing a certain level of basket to participate—such as 9999 for summoning, and special baskets or weapons requiring 3333.

At least not a lottery....

Euphoria [1443076] Wiki Contributor

The stats I got from years of work and outplaying 99% of the player base in income making? Yeah i’m not too upset about the hours spent, be more upset about the DP players with 90% less activity than me with same and higher stats.

And even the exponential SE gains is stupid, but that’s the game so I play it, i’m not gonna abstain from SEing because ched made a stupid mechanic, i’m also not gonna be biased and say it isn’t but your arguments are just stupid.

Acepac [190060]

Nope, it's not limited to Nightmarish basket.

And you don't even need treat armor/weapon to land hits whenever a special temp is thrown.
