"big mad?" Don't project on me, buddy. Just because you're upset that I dismiss the random hyperlinks you post, it doesn't mean that I feel any kind of way about you. I find it entertaining how many of you people have crushes and hate-boners for me, but it's just that, your own personal fantasy.

But whatever, I'm not interested in making personal insults, and really, if we go down that path, it's a game you're gonna lose and one that's going to get me banned, so I have no interest in it. I don't want to make you cry and I enjoy the game too much to get myself kicked out, and any further nudges towards the rap battle you seem to be so interested in as opposed to a discussion on policy are going to be ignored.

But now, let me ask, just to get a baseline on how consistent your views are, what do you think minimum wage should be?

Unlucky [2472585]

Ohhh you’re not mad I’m mad. lol ok.

But whatever, I'm not interested in making personal insults, and really, if we go down that path, it's a game you're gonna lose and one that's going to get me banned

Why would insults get you banned? The only things that really get you banned are discrimination. Oh. I see.

You not gonna engage at all after asking me to type all that out? I’m not gonna do the thing where you keep asking me stuff I keep showing you it and then you change the subject because you have no reply. That’s a waste of my time.

You should be pissed at the thousands of idiots who paraded around in keffiyehs saying, 'I can’t vote for Harris or Trump because they support genocide! The Jews... I mean, AIPAC controls America!' and told other people not to vote.

The people in Dearborn, MI (where 55% of the population is Arab) vowed to withhold their votes for Biden because of 'genocide' and vowed to withhold their vote for Kamala if she didn’t agree to stop sending weapons to Israel.

Trump says he’ll bring peace to the region, but doesn’t provide any details on how he would do that.

Trump won Dearborn.

Okay, sure.

Yes, the price of imported goods and materials will rise. So what? That's the point, to incentivize domestic production. So it takes a few years? Okay... is that a problem? Or are you just looking for instant gratification? You clearly believe that the EU's tariffs on Chinese EVs are beneficial, why would the same tariffs in the US not be just as beneficial? Either the US coffers get larger, or Chinese EV manufacturers set up shop in the US to avoid it, or, more likely, if you weren't trying to tell people from another country what's best for them without actually knowing enough about it, you'd already know that there's almost no market in the US for Chinese automobiles. You can literally count the automobile models available in the US that are manufactured in China with your fingers on a single hand, and that your line of reasoning going down that path is entirely irrelevant.

I was not changing the subject, I was asking a question for clarification to understand your perspective and continue with my point. What do you think minimum wage should be?

Unlucky [2472585]

Yes, the price of imported goods and materials will rise. So what?

That makes prices go up.

That's the point, to incentivize domestic production. So it takes a few years? Okay... is that a problem?

You’ve ignored the other part of the post that says it not guaranteed, and even if domestic production comes to the US prices go up.

Also the problem with it taking a few years, is do you still think people are going to vote R at the next election if they’ve had 4 years of massive price rises?

  • You clearly believe that the EU's tariffs on Chinese EVs are beneficial, why would the same tariffs in the US not be just as beneficial?

Because the EUs tariffs are targeted to a specific market to protect it. Rather than a blanket tariff to replace traditional taxation.

  • Either the US coffers get larger, or Chinese EV manufacturers set up shop in the US to avoid it, or, more likely, if you weren't trying to tell people from another country what's best for them without actually knowing enough about it, you'd already know that there's almost no market in the US for Chinese automobiles.

I wasn’t suggesting anything to do with the US market and Chinese EVs. I was using it as an example of tariffs being used effectively.

Honestly I thought it was massively obvious it was an example, but if you’re struggling let me know and I’ll preface when I’m using examples with “EXAMPLE:” So you don’t find yourself confused.

  • What do you think minimum wage should be?

I don’t think there’s a magic number in the US, and it would have to be judged state by state, because of the massive differences in costs in each state. EXAMPLE: 100k may be able to get you a 3 bed detached house in Detroit, or get you a parking space in NYC.

I think the aim should be to ensure the min wage in each state would allow someone enough money to work a 40 Hr/week job and be able to live modestly. Rent/mortgage, food, bills paid with a small amount for entertainment and savings.

I don't wish ill on anyone but f**king dumbasses voting against their own rights 100% deserve everything coming their way.

Pay more in taxes, while rich get tax cuts.

Kill Obamacare because ACA has affordable in its name.

Looking forward to the outrage of illegal family members deported, tariffs basically killing electronics and middle class turning into homeless while the rich get to add few yachts to their collection or visit the moon.

Smh

The 70 million people that have bought into their programs won't and don't see that.

They're far too gone to have normal conversations with, we can't even agree on whats happening in this reality. So reality is what's going to be their check in a couple years. Looking at Trumps admin he is putting together, if any of the 70 million had a brain, would be able to see that trump is surrounding himself with nigh a single "working class" member, and 3 questionable "experts" in their admin duties. The executive branch is turning out to be complete trash. I wonder if trump will go through as many firings as he did the first time.

When 70 million people vote for convicted felon rapist, simply because they don't believe in this reality, then it won't be until their reality comes crashing down, that they'll have their aha moments. Or not. Nazi propaganda was so effective, USA had big pockets of Hitler supporters all across the US even. That continued even after their genocidal acts.

There is plenty wrong with the democratic party, almost none is being discussed here or by the ignornanuses that voted for him. But the biggest reason why Trump won, is because 70 million people have been brainwashed into thinking voting a convicted felon rapist into office is ok. Let's hope for the sake of the world, that this administration doesn't f**k up how the american dollar is used as the base trading currency. Stupid ass blanket tariffs would do that though.

lol. Are you even in the US?

Why should every job be a living wage?  What ever happened to those jobs that kids do where the big value is the job is them learning to have a job or to gain some skills so that they’re marketable when they reach adulthood?

Unlucky [2472585]

Nope. But I’m pretty sure the US is what patient was referring to. He can correct me if I assumed wrong.

Why should every job be a living wage?

Why shouldn’t they?
