Given the holiday season is approaching across the world and the inflammatory nature that the forums typically take. Let's try to talk about what/who we are thankful for in our torn journeys!

 

Myself, I am thankful for those that convinced me to join all those years ago (undontwanna)

 

Those that have helped support my growth (deft/penicillin/PMV)

 

and those that have helped me grow as a leader and a person (Vicarious/sinisista/VShack and countless others)

 

If I didnt include you, it doesnt mean I am not thankful for you, it's just that there are innumerable people who helped me get to where I am today.

 

Special category: Those that have made me laugh: Be it fidelcashflow, KK, Evaline, Zach or any of the crazy forum dwellers along the way

I'd probably have to say the whole of Monarch Research. While I made some friends prior to joining MR, I truly felt at home in MR and generally love the atmosphere and people that reside in that place.

I'm thankful for the recent feddings, and joining CR 1500+ days ago. Best decision I ever made, gone from 5b stats & 40b net worth to 110b stats & 300b networth. Progression like that just wouldn't be possible on my own. 

 

Edit Special shoutout to WHITE [81862] who took me into his faction SPITE when I was a teeny-tiny nub selling losses, but had a fire in me to get better. I didn't meet any of the requirements but he gave me shot &  the early guidance that got me hooked on the game. 

 

Edit #2: I'm also very thankful for the GFX community, I recently started making animated GFX again, and got back into the swing of things. I chat with them in the discord almost daily. So many talented artists! I encourage everyone to go check out the current offerings for auctions & customs.

I will also agree with untouchables post.

 

factions in this game as a whole should be thanked, so many helpful people and always welcome almost anyone even if you do not meet their stat requirements etc. 

 

Will not add specific people but if you happen to read this comment and have helped me in anyway thank you for that and i hope I returned the favor somehow.

Im thankful for my faction Monarch Chrysalis, without it i would have quit almost a year ago, they have been true friends that stood by me during tough times especially that my country is being bombed on a daily basis, without them i would have fallen into depression or even worse so thanks for being around, checking up on me and keeping my morale high 

I will not be naming anyone in specific since they all have a special place in my heart

I'm thankful for Torn, in general. I often think how unfortunate it is I've only joined 19 years late for the party, but the truth is, I found this community at precisely the right time in my life. One thing they never brace you for growing up is that you're not always the pestle doing the day to day grinding. Sometimes you're the mortar, and sometimes you're the stuff in the mortar, getting pounded. And even though you're surrounded by people who need you, you can still feel unnecessary. 

Enter Torn, a place for unnecessary people to find each other and revel in our unnecessariness. I'm truly thankful for all of you.

Thankful for the old Quidnunks members who were my online family for over 14 years

I’m thankful TORN is not the IP of a mega corporation, nor controlled by one, and has none of the worst aspects of modern online games.

dunmugmeh is an important person in this game who helps new players and helps them grow. He has a famous advertising brand called ( The Nature Watch Charity Shop ) and is successful as a trader. I will not reveal the names of the other 2 people, but they also supported me. I am grateful

I'm thankful for the Loot Rangers and their discord. Battling the NPCs and receiving loot, whether it's a Bandit Mask or Boxing Gloves, is my favorite part of game, and it'd be so much more difficult to accomplish without the organization of the group.

I am Thankful to the Torn community for just being here for all of my ups and downs throughout the 16+ years in the game. Thankful to the people I have met in the game along the way. Thankful to those who are still around in the game that make every day in Torn another adventure. These people know who they are without my naming them as my dearest friends here know who they are without being named at all and would not want the attention drawn to them.

Except for SporkMonkey. He loves the attention. (Encouraging the single ladies of torn to seek that handsome guy out.) He's not my type but fun to pick on.
