I’ve been thinking about how Organized Crimes 2.0 works and wanted to hear your thoughts on an idea: Should faction leaders have the ability to adjust crime difficulty?

Right now, crime difficulty is set, and while success rates can be improved with experience, roles, and faction perks, we don’t have direct control over how hard a crime is. What if faction leaders could lower or raise the difficulty in exchange for adjusting the potential rewards?

Possible Benefits:

✅ More  Control – Leaders could tailor crimes to their faction’s strengths.

✅ Lower Risk Options – Newer factions could take on bigger crimes with a reduced chance of failure.

✅ Higher Rewards for Higher Risk – Advanced factions could push difficulty up for better payouts.

Possible Downsides:

❌ Balance Issues – Could this be exploited to make crimes too easy?

❌ Less Challenge – Would it take away from the strategy of picking the right crimes?

I’d love to hear your thoughts! Would this be a good addition to the game, or do you think it would break the system? Maybe there’s a better way to implement it?

Hes in a new faction asking this.

🤣

Lower Risk Options are the low missions.

If you can't do it, you can't do it.  Move on.

So let me get this straight, you want to be able to do the "steal a pet" crime and make it worth as much as a higher tier version.

Instead of actually doing the higher tier OCs with more impressive goals/stories/payouts...

You started with "I've been thinking" - are you sure about that?

JustJanet [911066]

No, that isn’t what they said. They would be willing to take a lesser reward for an easier crime.

I still don’t like the idea, but at least they weren’t trying to get it set like you described.

In my limited experience, we’ve only been at about a week and a few days. the crimes are paying out more and those with the right CE seem to be able to accomplish them. It would be great for us to gave a greater variety since we have both seasoned and brand new members. However, it seems a fair trade to be getting better respect and payouts even if our newer members might struggle to find a crime they can successfully participate in.

Is literally asking for both.

And as they are going to be continually bringing in new OCs each month with different requirements/goals (cycling through different difficulties) do we really need to make a "T2 crime as hard as a T3" instead of just doing T3, or a "T5 as easy as a T4" instead of just doing T4s?

Hanged0Man [3511400]

The idea isn’t to make easy crimes as rewarding as hard ones. It's about giving faction leaders the ability to adjust difficulty for bigger crimes based on their faction's strength. Newer factions could lower the difficulty to have a better shot, while stronger ones could raise it for bigger rewards.

As opposed to just doing the tier below, or the tier higher, respectively?

A team of greenleaf new players can complete the lowest tier (and get way more rewards than the equivalent in OCs 1.0)

Who exactly needs them lowered?

Candymonster [1632600]

Do the easier missions. Do the ones you can.

They shouldn't lower the difficulty just to make it easier for you. Do the easy ones first. If you don't have any easy missions, then do none.

The rewards are already good enough. They don't need even greater rewards.

Great suggestion, but why stop at OCs?

Why not letting us switch the difficulty before starting an attack too?

From what i can gather here is you're asking for Faction leadership have the ability to select an 'Easy' 'Medium' 'Difficult' 'Hard' 'Simulation' mode ?

Nope from me as is this is old skool, and not a console game, too much work, learn the system, and adapt and optimise, i prefer that way personally
