It's disappointing to see things leak ahead of time, we had taken steps to prevent that but obviously messed up somewhere. It's a shame but nothing we can do now, a lot of planning and thinking goes in to the keepsakes and we'd like to make them a regular thing. We put a lot of attention to the details in each item, with little hidden easter eggs here and there so we look forward to the official release for more of these on Torn's anniversary.
A huge amount of deliberation goes in to deciding which players to pick, who is most deserving and who is not, those who've had a lot of focus in recent times or past times for relevant keepsakes, and ultimately those who have had a lot of positive attention, or who might be full of literal red flags.
As for the points cost, it wasn't really anything to do with changing point prices - since these will only be temporary anyway - more so the fact that there are much fewer this year so we just wanted it to reasonably reflect that, and now we have an established market cost we wanted that to be reasonably priced alongside too.
Would be nice to see the Keepsake's have some sort of perks or meaning behind them eg: Andyman's [Suggestion] Keepsake Perks List | Suggestions | TORN

A little less than 3% of the points in circulation. (assuming 5,000 x 6 different species of keepsakes x 250 quantity of keepsakes)
That should have a nice impact on points prices and be good for the noob-travel-income folks.
topic back then was buying merits that aren't achievable anymore with points is still a bad band aid fix to points value, but my feeling on this is still the same that band aid fixes to try and fix the economy from nerfs isn't great.
cant wait to make another 40-60% ROI on the points i invested in knowing this is the only solution to the problems they create.
