I've been following Dispatch for months, because I like everything about it - the core concept (former superhero directing a group of misfits who used to be villains), the art style, the choice of voice actors, and more.
It released a week and a half ago. It's an 8-chapter Visual Novel with choices that can alter overall events moving forward. While some of the choices are more of a way to let you flex your own attitude, there's a surprising number of path-altering decisions. Chapters 1 and 2 were released at launch; 3 and 4 were released last week; 5 and 6 will be released in a few days; and the finale of 7 and 8 will come out a week from now. All for the base price - no DLC here (well, ONE optional DLC, which is access to the music, art, and related comics.)
They're releasing it in stages to get conversation going, to get people talking about the decisions that were made, theories on what's going on and what might be coming later - they wanted to get the sort of chatter going on that you see in weekly television shows, rather than the kind of discussion that results in an all-at-once release of a show.
And the reviews are glowing. Some people are recommending it as Game of the Year content, others are talking about how deep and real the characters are.
For those who have never heard of it, here's the Steam page:
