Has anyone else noticed the payouts getting less and less profitable on the "window of opportunity" crime? Well they are, anyone know why?

They haven't for us - do you have any examples?
(Payout depends on which of the potential items you succeeded in stealing)
Edit: Unless you mean the fact that items have a value of $0 if none have been traded recently, and whoever is clicking your payout button hasn't noticed they are only doing a partial payout and your leaders need to adjust balance to add the extra.
I think because the art item or whatever that is the reward value goes down , so the payout goes down. Edit- looks like the painting has a sell back value of 70m so that should be the bottom/floor, it shouldn’t go below that plus the value of artifacts or whatever else is with it. But it is showing as a $0 value at moment probably because no buys on item market or bazaars. But it should result in a minimum of 70m in the OC reward part, unless like other mentioned above where leader needs to adjust it somehow.
I personally sent the pay for the crime out, 90% cut to participants which was 0$ for all involved. there was only loot as the proceeds of this crime this time. I got 16m the 1st time i did it, 6m the 2nd and nothing the 3rd. something is fishy
Then this is basically a "you problem" for not paying attention.
If the painting was showing a value of 0, then someone with full banking permissions needs to manually add 12.6m to each of the 5 participants (based on 90% payout of the 70m value), withdraw the painting from the armory, sell it to bits n bobs, deposit the 70m, and deduct 70m from their own balance afterwards.
Edit: That T7 OC is always just loot, it never gave money to your faction, only items which were worth a certain amount of money at current market prices. Just like how one of the lower tier OCs always gives just xanax.
Your faction vault probably didn’t have enough cash to cover paying out for the items
scottypops increased scottypops's Chaos Theory money balance by $0 from $0 to $0 as their 18% cut for their role as Looter in the faction's Window of Opportunity scenario [view]
Previous crime to give you guys an exemple:
DrZoark increased scottypops's Chaos Theory money balance by $6,399,359 from $0 to $6,399,359 as their 18% cut for their role as Looter in the faction's Window of Opportunity scenario [view]
first time I see that, no reserve has no pay but when you do the next lvl it gives you double pay if you succeed. I guess the 70m to the faction is the pay, just annoying if i need to start splitting the amount i thought it was to help faction because of the other lvl 7 crime costing 20m for the item :/
i would rather not have the faction item and that member get their pay, i have enough work as it is xP

2nd time doing the crime...18:49:12 - 19/04/26 DrZoark increased your Chaos Theory money balance by $6,399,359 from $0 to $6,399,359 with your 18% cut for your role as Looter in Chaos Theory's Window of Opportunity scenario [view]. indycision ,you might be the confused one
First time ....03:44:44 - 07/04/26 DrZoark increased your Chaos Theory money balance by $19,973,816 from $0 to $19,973,816 with your 18% cut for your role as Muscle in Chaos Theory's Window of Opportunity scenario [view].I think indyCision is skimming the faction oc profits. lmao
If you're going to post a Q&A then either accept the answers being given or if you think it looks wrong then open your f**king eyes and look at the actual OC payout window instead of disliking my posts and then doubling down on your mistake and accusing a faction leader of skimming profits.
If you re-read my post above you should be able to realise that it was about needing to cover the 70m sell-to-shop price of the priceless painting, which is the item most lkely to be showing as a $0 value when you click payout. The other items are being frquently traded because they do not have the same sell-to-shop value, so they are highly unlikely to show $0 in the crime payout screen.
Example of what is being shown RIGHT NOW for a T7 window of opportunity loot:
With the "sell-to-shop" value of 70m, this OC was worth $101,795,402 and NOT just $31,795,402 - so after clicking the payout I then added additional money to all 5 people's balances to cover the missing $70M, just like I said that your faction would need to do because they used payout without looking at the item values.
On your first payout BOTH items had values, so you had 18% of the 110m total value.
On your second payout the painting had a value of zero, so you ONLY received 18% of the 35.5M instead of the 105.5M.
Sorry for the curt response, but don't act a dick when you don't understand.
Yeah, sadly that T7 window of opportunity is a constant "needs leadership attention" OC even when all items are showing a value.
The painting you can just sell to the shop and deposit the funds back into the faction to cover its part of the payout...
The other items you either need to sell (via bazaar to skip the market fees as their trading value is effectively 5% higher than they are worth, so your payout button is already "overpaying") OR exchange for points and sell the points instead. Right now, as we get close to museum day, price points are rising, so those items are also rising - and if you leave them ignored in the faction armory until after museum day when points are expected to drop again, you'll find that your 90% payout to the faction ended up being more than you get from selling the rewards...
This tread should become a bug report. It seems like the system for the OC payout is flawed. They could fix it by checking if an item has a basic store sale price. If that value is higher then the market place price, then that value should be used. This should solve the problem and keep the payout system easy to use.
Edit: someone already opened a ticket: https://www.torn.com/forums.php#/p=threads&f=19&t=16515277&b=0&a=0
Yeah, we are still waiting for it to be resolved - was reported a while back shortly after factions started to complete the new OC.
Seems like someone opened a bug report for this 5 days ago, i didnt noticed that bug until now.
It's definitely a weird way to do it, like they should set a minimum value for those items i won't start analyzing each oc outcome :P
I rather not have any item as reward, and get straight split pay payout instead
I opened the bug report 5 months ago when some of the cars were causing issues :P
It's just gotten a lot more traction lately with the painting OC being really bad for it lol
