Casual Torn?

Hello!!

I have a lot of questions for the veterans of torn, so I figured I'd ask here rather than risk breaking rules in global XD

My first question is;

Based of the title, are there any good, casual factions?

I suppose what I'm asking is:

• A Trusted Faction: a group that's been around for awhile that, overall, the community has a general like towards.
• Faction Wars and Chains aren't a Priority: Wars and Chains still happen and members are encouraged to engage when able, but overall, whether or not a member is able to participate or not won't result in a penalty for said member.
• Activity: IDEALLY, a discord or someway to communicate and coordinate with other members of the faction without having to solely rely on in-game chat for immediate cooperation and communication.
• Learning and Growing: all in all, a place that will take the time to teach new members about Torn, how certain things work and how to build for the long run, while continuing to make this game an endeavor worth playing.

No. Casual factions are ass unless you ask casual factions.

Honestly though, you'll be hard pressed to find a high activity faction that avoids wars etc.

so generally casual and active don't mix, the people who are active want to play the game, and playing the game as a faction generally means some amount of chaining or warring.  Both of those are the main sources of respect a faction has, which is required to unlock the perks that are a big reason many people join a faction.

As far as mentorship goes a good mentor is one who has played actively for years and is still integrated with most major aspects of Torn, these players will often have a growth mindset which runs counter to casual factions.  The closest you'll get in that regard is reading guides written by those players, as they contribute in their top tier factions.

What is it that you actually hope to get out of your Torn experience, and why do you feel you can't/shouldn't have to contribute to whatever faction you land in?
