This is meant as a general guideline for crime progression but if you find that you really hate a particular crime you can skip it but the overall grind might be less efficient out of order. Pink is extra information, Green is highly recommended, Yellow is optional.

Factions will typically provides free beer items here make sure to use these if you have free booster time available as getting all crimes to 100 will take a long time and extra nerve will really help to build up your crime experience early. More expensive alcohols are available but are not cost effective at early stages in your account.

Additionally you can refill your nerve with points but this is significantly more expensive costing 30 points per refill. I would only consider refilling if you have at least a 40 nerve bar or have lots of expendable cash.

Building crime experience will also help you to move up the organised crime ladder, which after the organised crimes 2.0 update actually pay out reasonable amounts early and late game. So you can expect to make enough money to cover your weekly xanax costs at levels 5 and above.

New players should start doing graffiti (guide) crimes. Graffiti has a uniquely high success rate for accounts with low overall crime experience so getting started with graffiti is a great way to build initial crime experience with very few failures.

Once graffiti is at about 20 skill, it is time to prepare for card skimming (guide). the aim is to unlock gas station skimmers (25 skill). Skimming is a set and forget crime and will be running in the background while you focus on all other crimes.

Out of the four options available, the subway station has the best mix of lifetime and collection rate, try to collect after about 2 days.

Once you have gas station skimmers unlocked and running just check back every 50-75ish days to claim and reset your skimmers. These skimmers can last considerably longer than 50 days, but I find this to be a safe point to reset the skimmers while still getting excellent crime experience per nerve invested.

Continue training graffiti, and skimming until you reach 35 natural nerve bar. Then it's time for the first real nerve builder; disposal (guide) due to the daily limit of the disposal crime it gets better crime experience than most other crimes. This makes it one of the best crimes for building up your nerve bar long term and you might want to consider doing disposals even after finishing 100 skill. While training disposal you can refer to this handy chart to get optimal success rates.

You should consider starting the cracking educations at this point so they are done when you eventually begin cracking.
CMT 1520 unlocks the cracking crime, this is essential.
CMT 2570 unlocks 25% heat reduction, This is required to unlock the overclocking educations.
CMT 2128 unlocks 30% overclocking, not essential but will slightly improve your cracking experience.
CMT 2129 unlocks 50% overclocking, same as 30% overclocking.

You will find while doing disposal that due to the daily limit there will be times where you have available nerve but nowhere to spend it. At this point you will get to make a choice about which crimes to spend it on. I would recommend either bootlegging (guide) or continuing with graffiti depending on personal preference. Both are good low investment crimes to spend spare nerve on while waiting for new disposal targets and resetting gas station skimmers. However other crimes are available to try if you despise both bootlegging and graffiti.

After achieving 100 skill in disposal we will swap it out with cracking (guide). Cracking is the second crime with a daily limit. Similar to disposal it also gets higher crime experience per nerve than regular crimes. Disposal and cracking together make the backbone of your crime experience to help propel you into OC2.0 and build some quick crime experience.

Bonus website to help optimise rigs.

Once cracking and disposal are at 100 skill you will have enough crime experience to do any crime you feel like and your options open up. There are 2 main paths worth considering from this point onwards.

  • Continuing with gas station card skimming while getting the remaining crimes to 100 skill to pick up more merits.

  • Continuing with card skimming, Disposal and Cracking for optimal crime experience.

The remaining crimes are recommended in order of nerve investment to reach 100 skill: hustling (guide) > Search for cash (guide) > Pickpocketing (guide) > Shoplifting (guide) > Burglary (guide) > Arson (guide) > Scamming (guide) > Forgery (guide)

I think the concentration on cracking education is a mistake.  I think you are better off completing the education that allows you to install physhers and scrapers.

CMT 1520, 1530, 2131, 2130.

That will help you make money in the future.

Then complete hacking, if you are interested in the monies from that.

I do not know when it makes sense to do this, but you want to have the education done for when your NNB allows you to set those physers and scrappers.

I would even suggest holding off on sport science.  Those gains are nice but takes a long time to finish, that you can be collecting email addresses.

TwentyFour [2234860]

I agree that getting passive emails is good for getting solid cash from scamming, but this made to get new players CE as quickly as possible to join some decent OCs before completing their remaining crime merits, and farming passive emails isn't the way to do that in my opinion

Indefatigable [2517458]

I see, ok.  I wonder how much CE you get for setting the phisher and scraper.  In my mind the sooner you get started the sooner you get a big trove of emails so you can start making those dollars.

How much nerve would that take away from your plan otherwise.  It is expensive in nerve to get the scrapers and phishers in place.  This is true.  And that would take away from grafiti.  I would imagine doing disposal is important.  However may just do the ones that give more money per nerve.

I think balancing money per nerve and CE is a factor.

Good point.

TwentyFour [2234860]

Honestly probably not a huge amount of nerve, but its extra time in educations and i would personally prioritise getting cracking started, before moving onto other crime educations, but its something that a newer player might want to consider but theres also a risk of information overload once you start diving into nuances of opportunity costs and the like lol

Lezen [3758466]

Hey I'm curious about something if you could help me confirm, so the crimes that gives the better CE are disposal and cracking? So just focusing in those two would give the highest amount of CE?

TwentyFour [2234860]

Arson too yes they give the best CE per nerve spent with the exception of card skimming. you will still want to get 100 in each crime though since OC roles need different crimes in addition to your total CE to get good rates.

TwentyFour [2234860]

The CE is better, ive tested with a few folks and the time gated crimes seem to have better CE than regular per nerve invested that being said the main focus is actually on disposal.

I have 35 natural nerve, started disposal but currently with 5% critical fails, thats more than I've ever had in search for cash (which is level 100 already ) and bootlegging (level 50). Is this normal critical fail for disposal or something else is wrong?

usul-enkidu [3638056]

5% CF is quite high.
until card skimming I was just jumping around and trying crimes.
then I started doing them in order...

I didn't do it in the best way - these are my stats to reaching 100 in disposal:

attempts [%]
683 94.73% successes

 28 3.88% fails

 10 1.39% critical fails

TwentyFour [2234860]

When you get a crit fail try doing another crime for a day then go back to disposal afterwards, sometimes you just get an unlucky streak and you want to build up a crime streak before jumping back in

Svoky [3794075]

Finally someone who does not recommend "do all the crimes from top left one by one and never start another till you finish the previous one...". Nice guide.

Czajnik [4255996]

Hello, i'm exactly that guy who started doing everything in order. My question is what is the best path for solid cash as fast as possible? Those edvds cost a lot, and i'm searching for ways to increase my daily income

TwentyFour [2234860]

Unforunately a lot of the money in crimes is backended, namely organised crimes which does pay very well but will take a while to reach that point.

But in terms of making some money from regular crimes quickly, I would follow the guide up to doing disposals, then spend extra nerve on either scamming or burglary.

With scamming getting the phishing and scraping educations will help to farm a lot of emails which helps to make the romance and investment scams more profitable, in addition to the time spent in education you will need to reach 80 in scamming and also need a significant number of emails but it is possible to get up to 3m in a single hack.

Burglary has many items which sell for a decent amount, so spending spare nerve on burglary and doing industrial burgling can net over 5k / nerve easily. It also does not require any extra education time.

I would personally avoid these as just building solid CE to get into level 4-5 OCs earlier and then coming back round to these crimes afterwards will probably net you more money while you work towards 100 skill in each crime.

ForST- [4286578]

I just finished disposal, can you suggest for cracking whether to go for brute forcing or cracking, main goal is to build NNB faster and have higher % in OC. What's your recommendation when it comes to this guide, didnt see any mentions about that here, much appreciated.
