Mm, to an extent, yes, but BBCode (BulletinBoardCode) is an extremely simplified form of "coding" with a similar structure to HTML, which is widely considered to not be a formal coding language. But that's besides the point.
In the forums editor, there's an icon you can click in the very bottom right of the toolbar under the text box that looks like this: { }
Clicking that enables the BBCode editing where you can format however you please. There are plenty of tutorials and guidebooks online of how to use BBCode, and it's super easy to pick up and use, but admittedly, complex things like the fancy background graphics are more difficult of a thing to learn to add. It's very doable, and really, anyone can learn how to do it, but you do have to actually learn how to do it.
Now, if you want to get into them bringing back the BBCode testing forums, that's something I can 1000000% get behind. It was a great space to just tinker around and see what you could accomplish.
