Usually I'm on the receiving end of having a general discussion post made about me... never thought I'd see the day where I'm posting one about someone else. I'd like to share with the members of Torn the demeanor of a certain player here, the events that unfolded, and a request to the staff about the rules in Torn.
WruceBayne is the character I'd like to share with you. I want to make it clear that this is not a reflection of HT. These are the actions of one player. HT remains the faction I call home and will be returning for their 100K this Halloween.
A little over a month ago while I was in HT - an individual placed a stricken merc contract on me with specific rules. I requested a permanent wall for HT and Mike always made sure one was available and advised individuals not to join as it's a friendly wall. As I was getting out of the hospital, she joined my spot - I quickly removed and mugged them for a nominal amount to remove them from the wall.

That is what started started everything.
They quickly messaged me asking why I mugged them and went into the faction chat insinuating that I was sexist and that my behavior was that of "typical male behavior."
I warned this user of that kind of communications and showed them the last character who attempted this behavior - and they ignored the very first warning. I promised them they will be added to the perma-hosp list for Halloween and returned the money.

HT was in the middle of a training break and I left trying to find possibly a real warring faction - or to just try something new.

My favorite holiday is Christmas and boy... it truly is Christmas in July!
A termed war was planned between the two factions, but I advised both leaderships that.. "She will be permanently hosp'd the entire time of the war," that way when she complains to either HT or MC - everyone will have already been advised so there wouldn't be any surprises.

The war began and while I did not immediately begin hospitalizing her (was in the middle of a move to Florida and was miserable), but after getting settled... white screen simulator ensued for WruceBayne.
After the first few hospitalizations - Wruce thought she'd directly message me..
In order not to spam the entire page with the screenshots of all communications between us, I will attach them as links. You can view them if you wish.
I blocked the individual at this point as there didn't seem to be any point in allowing the character to message me. Immediately they grabbed my real life photos from my profile and posted them as their own. (I have removed the photos and while they held sentimental value to me, I do not want this to be repeated).
I messaged them on Discord to advise on the behavior as it's insane to me that someone would do this. In order to avoid any negative behavior I will blur their name and pictures out.
Why did I take this so seriously?
I've played this game for way too long. Over that time, I've played many different personas... even the Russian mugging Thor for a while was quite enjoyable. And we all have a persona we can choose to play as, one of the great joys of this game... you can play it however you want.
However, when we bring real life into the game, unless you're willing to deal with the possible consequences of doing so, it's best left out.
If your persona is that of playing as a victim, with a deck full of cards that insinuate anyone and everyone is sexist - we're going to have a conflict.
As an American player, allegations of sexism (outside the game) are nigh impossible to protect yourself against especially in corporate America. Even if it doesn't have merit, it will permanently affect you. And while I completely understand playing a persona in the game, there's a clear line that should not be crossed. I do believe that rules of Torn should include sexism insinuations.
TL;DR : User plays victim, insinuates sexist remarks, stole RL photos and double downed on their behavior multiple times.
