Imagine the US having some enclave in the middle of Mexico, of course that would be a target for migrants trying to do work in the US.

This is actually a really cool topic, thanks for bringing it up.
So spains econonmy is doing really well atm, because in part, it’s accepting migrants. Because as we all know labour is an asset, the more workers the more production.
The thing Spain is doing that’s against the grain of Europe is they’re accepting and integrating their migrants into communities which means they quickly become productive.
Now caveats, Spain is largely accepting migrants back from South America, so they speak Spanish already which helps integration, and they have a population that is accepting of outsiders

At my.soms school there are many parents that are Arabs also, there are many programs to learn the language and they speak fluently Spanish and Catalan. Even people that are here for a short time
English, Americans and other Northern European people have much more issues speaking the language, even the ones that live here over 10 years, when I say I'm from the Netherlands to people here they are always amazingly surprised in how good I speak the language, and I don't even consider myself that good.

It's great that they are making sure those people will be paid according to Spain's labor laws. However, the law of supply and demand means that they are going to be "cheap labor" compared with the average Spanish citizen.

The demand is there, Spain, just like the US has an ageing population.
And more people working, means more demand and supply, since people living here buy stuff, and need to feed themselves. Basically, more people.means more economic activity.

That's not how supply and demand work dude... the demand is there, fine... but the more supply you have to fill that demand, the more wages will drop.
There is more supply when there are more people working.
There is less when people are all pensioners, and hardly anyone is working.
Like I said, just.like the US we have an ageing population, we need to embrace immigration to keep things running. You should too.
