I've been told not to train two stats out of the four. What should the distribution be like?? All should be equal?

1:1:1:1 untill you have 1,000,000,000 in each stat. When you get there, ask again
1:1:1:1 untill you have 1,000,000,000 in each stat.
When you get there, ask again
That is a stupid advice.
First having 1b each stats provides merits for you . Second train two stats? And do what? Strength speed to be a one hit wonder and god forbid you miss you get cheeks clapped by some guy who has 100m strength . Terrible idea. You should focus all stats to 1b. After you do that in about 3 years come back and we can talk more
Who told you to only train 2 stats? That's ridiculous.
The best stat build is all 4 stats. You can get by training 3 stats for faster overall growth by training Strength + Speed + 1 of the defensive stats.
Nobody trains just 2 stats. That's just stupid.
Yeah exactly, seeing everyone saying bring all to 1b seemed weird. Overall it will take the same time getting to 4b total, but in the meantime you'll grow quicker
Who told you that?
1bn in each is the base mark for a number of reasons
If you neglect dex, you will be hit evey time, generally for damage and that builds up quickly
If you neglect Def you will suffer big damage on every hit so even a reduction in landed hits is enough
If you neglect speed, your not going to land many hit
If you neglect strength your hits will do no damage
By building your foundations properly and then re-evaluating later you are setting yourself up to a better standard.
Realistically 1bn in each is the ABSOLUTE minimum before you consider dropping something. Even then you generally will drop either Def OR Dex only
A wise man told me to train 3 stats and leave one behind, (either defence or dex), then when you get the Ignorance is Bliss book one day and have the resources to use it (FHC and refills for a month) then you can bring up the stat you left behind.
It leaves you much more competitive in the 3-4 years you will need to get to 1b in each battle stat.
If you’re gonna be around a long time, then yeah get em alll to 1b eventually, the path there doesn’t matter too much. Unless you’re an absolute min maxer, then it doesn’t matter too much. Just eventually get em all to 1b without leaving any one too far behind at a given time. If you like attacking more, then maybe build the offensive stats up earlier. If you like defending more, then maybe pick def or dex to build up earlier. And if you are a min maxer, well then, I think you’ve got A Lot more research to do than posting a Q&A thread.
if you’re not gonna be around (years and years and years), then again, it doesn’t really matter that much either, just depends if you like attacking or defending more.
Until you start unlocking specialist gyms, you shouldn't bother with stat ratios, and just train whatever trains better (depending on gyms unlocked and faction bonuses). Thats the best path for you now.
By the time you'll get to specialist gyms, you'll read enough guides to get the nuances of different strategies, and choose whatever ratio suits you best.
On a completely separate and unrelated note, I should note that it is possible (though, very suboptimal) to survive with 2 stats only by relying on Sure Shot weapon, as it allows to ignore Speed, and have STR + DEX/DEF stats.
Yes. That is true. But if you take 2 brand new players, who train the exact same way, you'll see that the one who trained only 3 stats will severely outpace the one who trained balanced the whole time.
4b balanced will always beat 4b imbalanced, don't get me wrong, but the growth of the imbalanced training outpaced the difference
Does "outpaced" mean will win fights? More total stats but can't hit at all, or more total stats but str so low that the hits do no damage is only better in theory but not in reality.
Im not exactly balanced myself BUT completely ignoring 1 or 2 stats ain't good.
But what is the point of being high stat if your still getting your arse kicked?
I know for a fact at 4bn stats I can take players in the 6-7bn range. Yes the damage may have been around the 300 range but that was more than enough over 25 rounds, landing every hit to win
Now if I was against another player who had say 1bn less Def but 1bn more Dex the outcome would have been very different
This is why I maintain... 1bn per stat as a foundation before you change your ratios but even then, you don't want to fully neglect a stat.
Yes you could introduce needles to the equation but likewise a spy report will tell the attacker what they need to counter it
As I said, take 2 players, one trains only def speed and str, the other balanced. The second will kick the first guy's ass in 2 months. Of course you, being already at 4b can say that
What else could outpaced even mean. Of course I mean it'll beat the first guy
You mean the first one will kick the second's...
Depends what you want- but most importantly in this game is $$. In the end that’s what caps your stats.
those saying balance build though are wrong- at this point in the game best build I’d say to go is dex/str.
You’ve played slightly longer than me- kick my ass buck-a-roo.
3 stats until you unlock George's. Voila, best gym for that 4th stat. Plus you'll have more money to dump into that stat to get it up to speed quickly.
First few weeks it's 2 stats though. Strength and speed until you can make war kills. Everyone else will be able to kill you, so ignore defense until you can make war kills. Then bring up defensive stats.
You're well beyond 2 stats whoring tho. That's just like the first two weeks or so. Or at least that's why my noobs can beat up your noobs.
look for baldrs and hanks ratios, its done by math
