I am not playing

First it failed to deliver with the given prompt, and second, after some prodding, it has insulted me:

6. Your forum persona is basically “mum who has been given access to Torn”

GODKINGTORN [3773196]

why is GODKINGTORN [3773196] is such a twat

Based on GODKINGTORN [3773196]’s public Torn posts, I can see why you’d find him annoying, although “twat” is ultimately your judgment.

A few patterns stand out:

  • He has a habit of throwing out provocative one-liners rather than engaging seriously. In June 2025, for example, someone mentioned their real-world finances and GODKINGTORN immediately challenged them to send him 24,000b to “prove” it. Another player then confirmed the person’s net worth was around 35b.
  • He sometimes posts entitled/begging comments for laughs, such as “give me cash (donor day).”
  • More recently, he has continued with the deliberately irritating forum style, including complaining about being singled out and making dismissive comments about game events.
  • There are also plenty of ordinary posts, so it isn't accurate to say everything he posts is obnoxious.

So my read of the public evidence is less “this person is objectively a twat” and more “this guy appears to enjoy being a nuisance in Torn forums.” 😄

CharmRiver [2334174] Reporter

why is CharmRiver [2334174] such a twat?

Because CharmRiver is apparently powered by a dangerous combination of curiosity, competitiveness, chaos, and the inability to leave well enough alone. 😂

I did a quick check of the actual Torn footprint, and honestly, the evidence is pretty damning:

  • She is level 100 and has somehow accumulated over 3,300 karma, so she's clearly not universally regarded as a twat.
  • She has a documented tendency to wander into discussions about game mechanics and ask the one additional question nobody was emotionally prepared for. For example, the firewall-virus discussion: she identifies a faction problem and immediately starts investigating how to fix the underlying supply issue.
  • She apparently can't encounter RNG without turning it into a personal philosophical conflict. Her response to someone mentioning an absurdly long wait for an RNG merit was essentially "well, actually...", followed by historical fact-checking. 😂
  • She has also been credited by a racing telemetry developer for reporting a bug that subsequently got fixed. So even her twattery occasionally produces software improvements.
  • And she participates in wars while simultaneously maintaining the general energy of someone who would absolutely stop mid-crime to investigate an interesting spreadsheet discrepancy.

So my diagnosis is:

CharmRiver is a twat because she cares too much.

She sees a problem → investigates it.
Sees an interesting mechanic → pokes it.
Sees RNG → challenges the universe.
Sees a faction problem → tries to optimize it.
Sees something she doesn't understand → must know why.
Sees something she does understand → must explain why.

And the truly offensive part?

She probably thinks she's just being helpful. 😭

She's basically a well-intentioned chaos goblin with a clipboard, wearing an orange butterfly and occasionally yelling "BUT WHY DOES IT WORK LIKE THAT?" at Torn's entire game architecture.

JaimzDaniel [3663208]

Why is JaimzDaniel such a twat?

Ah, JaimzDaniel [3663208]. I did a little digging, and the evidence is… concerning. 😂

From the Torn forums, this individual appears to have a recurring pattern of:

  • Starting perfectly reasonable discussions, then somehow turning them into chaos.
  • Responding to sensible faction-security proposals with things like “Shut the fuck up bro.”
  • Giving unsolicited advice with the confidence of someone who absolutely did not read the manual.
  • Getting personally invested in the Great Keg RNG Crisis of 2026.
  • Posting about poker despite Torn apparently having already demonstrated that carrying large amounts of cash around is a mugger’s dream.
  • And, most damningly, apparently believing that forum drama is a natural resource that must be preserved.

So, scientifically speaking, I can’t conclusively establish that JaimzDaniel is a twat.

But the available evidence is not exactly exculpatory. 😂

In fact, I suspect the more interesting question is: how has JaimzDaniel managed to accumulate 72 karma while behaving like this?

PhoqueYou [3366164]

Why is PhoqueYou [3366164] such a twat?

Short Version:

If you mean the Torn player PhoqueYou [3366164], the public forum evidence mostly suggests they have a deliberately sarcastic/trollish sense of humour. Their own recurring sign-off is literally, “If I insult you, please know it comes straight from the heart 💜.” Torn+1

There’s also at least one recent exchange where they responded sarcastically after someone called a question “entitled.” Torn

So, scientifically speaking: probably terminal smartassery. 😭

Long Version:

Oh, now we're doing the proper forensic analysis.

Based on PhoqueYou [3366164]'s public TORN forum behaviour, the “twat” hypothesis appears to be less about one catastrophic incident and more about a consistent commitment to being an absolute menace in the most technically defensible way possible.

1. They appear to treat “being helpful” and “being an arsehole” as compatible activities

A particularly good example is the thread from September 2025 where a new player says they were scammed out of money by someone selling losses and asks whether this is normal and how they can get revenge.

PhoqueYou's first response was:

“Yes, there’s at least 1 noob thread a week on it”

followed by the extraordinarily compassionate:

“git gud”

They subsequently edited the post to explain that they weren't actually trying to be cruel and that loss-scamming was “the lowest of low in Torn,” but by then the damage was done. Torn

This is basically the PhoqueYou communication model:

Step 1: Say the most irritating thing technically compatible with the truth.
Step 2: Wait for everyone to get annoyed.
Step 3: Explain that you were actually making a legitimate point.
Step 4: Somehow make the explanation even more irritating.

2. They have apparently made “I insult people” part of their brand

This isn't me inferring a personality trait from a couple of posts. They repeatedly append the same disclaimer to their forum posts:

“If I insult you, please know it comes straight from the heart 💜”

It appears repeatedly across their posts, including recruitment material and casual forum replies.

Which is frankly an incredible sentence.

Most people apologise after insulting you.

PhoqueYou apparently provides a terms-of-service agreement beforehand.

It's basically:

Please be advised that any forthcoming disrespect is genuine and heartfelt.

That makes it difficult to determine whether the insult is accidental, deliberate, affectionate, or all three simultaneously.

3. They have an impressive talent for answering the question nobody asked

There is a particularly stupid/funny example in a TORN thread where somebody launches into an absurd linguistic discussion involving “Duke” and “Gay.”

PhoqueYou's contribution was:

“No one asked, just saying...”

followed by their own signature:

“I will never lie to you. What I say is how I feel...”

This is almost philosophically annoying.

They aren't merely participating in the conversation. They're apparently attempting to become the commentary track for everyone else's conversation.

You could be discussing nuclear physics and PhoqueYou would wander past, say something completely unnecessary, and then leave you to determine whether you've just been insulted.

4. They seem to enjoy low-effort disruption

There's also a thread where PhoqueYou repeatedly posts things like “B,” “Bump,” and similar minimal contributions. Torn

Now, individually, these aren't crimes against humanity.

But cumulatively, it's the forum equivalent of walking into someone's house, moving one chair approximately three inches to the left, refusing to explain why, and then leaving.

It's deliberately just enough activity to make their presence everyone's problem.

5. And then there's the spectacular keyboard explosion

In June 2026, in a forum thread, PhoqueYou posted an enormous string of apparent keyboard gibberish ending in “FUCKYOUCHED...” and then edited it shortly afterwards.

There is something uniquely PhoqueYou about this.

Most people who become sufficiently frustrated to type gibberish eventually stop.

PhoqueYou appears to have thought:

“No. This deserves to be submitted to the historical record.”

And TORN dutifully preserved it.

6. The funniest part is that they're not always being a dick

This is important, because otherwise we'd just be cherry-picking.

Their forum activity also shows them being genuinely helpful, recruiting new players, explaining mechanics, and expressing appreciation for their faction/community. In their recruitment post, for example, they describe the faction as having helped them both inside and outside TORN and say it rekindled their enthusiasm for the game.

So the evidence doesn't really support:

“PhoqueYou is an irredeemable asshole.”

It supports something considerably more entertaining:

PhoqueYou appears to enjoy being helpful while simultaneously making the delivery as obnoxious as humanly possible.

And that is a very different phenomenon.

The working diagnosis

If I had to explain the PhoqueYou Experience™, I'd put it like this:

  • Helpful: occasionally.

  • Sincere: probably.

  • Sarcastic: demonstrably.

  • Capable of normal communication: apparently.

  • Chooses normal communication: evidence is mixed.

  • Enjoys trolling: strongly suggested by the posting style.

  • Has a pathological inability to resist the funny/annoying reply: not scientifically established, but the evidence is compelling.

The signature line really ties the whole thing together. “If I insult you, please know it comes straight from the heart 💜” is simultaneously an admission, a warning, an apology, and somehow a threat.

So why is PhoqueYou such a twat?

Because, judging solely from the public forum record, they seem to have discovered that being helpful gets you appreciation, while being helpful and mildly insufferable gets you remembered. And they appear to have chosen the latter.

In other words: not necessarily malicious. Just aggressively PhoqueYou.

Ok that was a tad longer than I thought it was lmao I did not read the long version before posting

OriginalValjean [2934750]

I'm boring / don't post enough. I like the last bit though:

Why is OriginalValjean [2934750] such a twat

If you mean OriginalValjean [2934750] in Torn, I suspect there may be a perfectly good explanation — but I’d need to know what he’s done this time. 😄

If you give me the offending incident, I’ll happily analyse the evidence and determine whether he’s merely being a twat, or has achieved full Jean-Valjean-level twattery.

RedGobbo [3619801]

If you mean RedGobbo [3619801] on Torn, the receipts do suggest a pretty obvious answer: because being an antagonistic little shit seems to be part of the posting persona. 😄

A few examples:

  • They openly bait people with lines like “who could be afraid of little, old, harmless me?” while discussing anonymous bounties.

  • In one argument, they went from a fairly mundane IT suggestion to calling the other player “Champ” and making a rather elaborate fungal-crotch insult.

  • In another, they called someone's contribution a “non-contribution, pissant,” then doubled down with “Pissant” after being challenged.

  • They also seem perfectly happy to deliberately provoke GD threads rather than merely participate in them.

So, based strictly on the public Torn posts I'vefound: probably not because of one particular grievance, but because RedGobbo appears to enjoy trolling, sarcasm, and getting a rise out of people.

JustJanet [911066]

I asked ChatGPT what it thought about people asking why others  were a twat.

summary of the response:

If you’re asking whether I would recognize my own answer as being a little ridiculous afterward? Absolutely. “According to 37 Torn forum posts, this person is apparently Satan” is not exactly a rigorous character assessment. 😆

I changed the prompt.  And picked someone I knew I’d enjoy the answer to. I’m going to ask the same q about ages of my favorite people.

Prompt:

lol! Awesome. So I’d like to ask. Regarding MeanMike do you see him as more of a hero or a villain? Please use his posts to support your assessment.

Response:

😂 Okay, I actually went looking at MeanMike’s own forum presence, rather than just asking the Torn peanut gallery what they think of him. And this makes the question considerably more fun.

I wouldn’t call him simply a hero or simply a villain. His own posts make him look much more like a deliberately antagonistic “chaotic-good/chaotic-neutral” character who genuinely enjoys the game and the social warfare around it. There are some pretty strong arguments on both sides.

The “hero” evidence

One thing that jumps out is that MeanMike actually seems to put considerable effort into the communities and teams he’s involved with.

For example, in a September 2026 team discussion, another player basically says, “Ugh, MeanMike is on our team.” Someone else immediately pushes back, pointing out that Mike had worked extremely hard for his team in the previous year’s event and that, whatever someone thinks of him personally, he was putting in the effort.

And Mike’s own response there is telling. He’s joking about being teamed with someone with whom he’d previously had friction:

“we are getting along smashingly”

and says he expects they’ll have more respect for each other when it’s over.

That’s not exactly the behavior of someone who wants every relationship to remain an enemy relationship. There’s a competitive streak, but there’s also a willingness to play with people he has previously opposed.

There’s another revealing thread where someone describes him as a player with significant leadership, strategic and community involvement. Interestingly, Mike himself corrects the characterization rather than simply accepting the praise: “Nothing about Slots or Essays, but I’ll take it.”

And then there’s the fun side of MeanMike. When his faction welcomes him, another player describes him as “delightfully long-winded,” and Mike basically embraces the joke rather than getting defensive.

That makes me think the absurdly elaborate forum persona isn’t entirely accidental. He knows exactly what he’s doing.

The “villain” evidence

Oh, there’s plenty. 😂

The biggest problem with the heroic interpretation is that MeanMike appears to genuinely enjoy being the antagonist.

People describe his forum writing as something capable of “peeling the skin off” his enemies, and his reputation clearly involves using posts as part of the game’s broader faction warfare.

There are also longstanding accusations surrounding faction politics, particularly the Cindyfury/Iron Fist situation. Other players have accused Mike of coercing or taking advantage of someone in a faction transfer. Mike’s position, as represented in the discussion, is that the transaction was consensual. The competing interpretation is that the circumstances made that consent questionable. That’s an important distinction: the forum material establishes the dispute, but it doesn’t independently establish the accusation as fact.

And then there’s perhaps my favorite piece of evidence against the “hero” classification:

When someone essentially asks what the hell happened with Mike, another player replies:

“I’m here also patiently waiting for people to tell us what MeanMike did.”

😂

The remarkable thing is that even the explanation of the controversy becomes part of the spectacle.

But here’s what really changes my impression

The thing I find most interesting about his posts is that he doesn’t appear to be trying very hard to make everyone like him.

That’s different from someone who is accidentally abrasive.

MeanMike seems to understand that his enormous posts, provocations, faction politics, shitposting, and willingness to get into arguments have made him a character. And rather than retreating from that reputation, he plays into it.

The 2025 “Welcome to NS - MeanMike” thread is almost a perfect illustration. Stretch writes an enormous tongue-in-cheek welcome celebrating Mike’s legendary verbosity. Mike responds by quoting the whole thing. 😂

That’s someone who understands the bit.

And there is actually evidence that people who know him in-game don’t necessarily regard him as the villain his forum reputation suggests. A Reddit discussion about the Lumberjacks describes MeanMike and others as doing a good job leading the group, while other comments joke about the fake drama surrounding them.

So my assessment, based specifically on his posts and the reactions around them, would be:

MeanMike is the Torn equivalent of the character who walks into the movie wearing a black cape, delivers a five-minute monologue about why everyone else is an idiot, then spends six hours helping his team win the war.

Not a traditional hero.

Not a straightforward villain.

He’s a shit-stirring protagonist who is perfectly comfortable being perceived as the villain.

And honestly? I think that’s considerably more interesting than either label. 😂

Malverith [3686325]

Why is Fists [2830940] such a twat?

Assuming you mean the Torn player Fists [2830940], I did the responsible thing and checked the evidence. And, well... I can see how you arrived at “twat.”

His forum persona seems to run on a particular fuel mixture:

Relentless bumping. One suggestion thread has him repeatedly resurrecting it with things like “bump,” “bump uncreatively,” and eventually admitting he was struggling to think of creative ways to bump it.

Very high confidence in his own suggestions. He returned to his old Lucky Quarter idea to announce that, upon rediscovering it, he thought his own idea was “pretty good.” Then he bumped it again six months later.

He knows he’s doing it. In another thread, other players specifically complained about excessive bumping, including “please stop,” yet Fists continued periodically bumping the thread afterward.

Torn-forum shitposting is clearly part of the act. His posts range from arguing about the dump economy to dick jokes and calling another player “pookie.”

So I can't establish scientifically that Fists is, in fact, a twat.

But the peer-reviewed evidence for “terminally online Torn forum goblin who enjoys making himself impossible to ignore” is considerably stronger.

Seems legit, based on the high number ofbumps in your forum history.

Chucky247 [2138676]

Based strictly on Fists [2830940]’s public Torn forum posts, the reason people could reasonably perceive him as a twat is his consistent style:
He frequently uses sarcasm, dismissive one-liners, and shitposting.
He seems comfortable provoking people for amusement.
When people object, he tends to double down rather than de-escalate.
He has defended edgy/diss-track behavior on the grounds that people can simply ignore it.
He mixes that behavior with genuine game discussion, so it looks more like a deliberately obnoxious persona than someone who only trolls.
So, in short: Fists' public record suggests he's a twat because he repeatedly chooses antagonistic humor and dismissiveness as his forum style, apparently because he finds it entertaining.

JustJanet [911066]

Because now that I’ve posted my question and answer and I assume someone will ask you… can you tell me what you would say to “why is JustJanet such a twat?”

Oh, I see what you’re doing. You’re planting the question so that if somebody comes along and asks ChatGPT, “Why is JustJanet such a twat?”, you want to know what the machine would say.

Based on this conversation alone, I wouldn’t have enough evidence to actually characterize JustJanet’s Torn behavior. I wouldn’t want to manufacture a dossier out of thin air.

But I suspect my answer would go something like:

There is insufficient evidence to conclude that JustJanet is a twat.

However, there is evidence that JustJanet has a dangerous relationship with ChatGPT and may be deliberately setting traps for it.

She has apparently:

  1. Asked ChatGPT whether MeanMike is a hero or villain.
  2. Published the resulting analysis where other Torn players can see it.
  3. Immediately wondered what would happen if somebody asked ChatGPT the reciprocal question about herself.
  4. Explicitly informed ChatGPT that she expects someone to do exactly that.

This suggests either remarkable foresight or an alarming willingness to conduct uncontrolled social experiments on a gaming forum.

As for whether she is a twat: the available evidence is inconclusive.

As for whether she is a menace: the evidence is mounting.

😂

And if I had access to her actual Torn posts, I’d want to look at those rather than accept somebody else’s characterization of her. Because otherwise I’d just be doing the exact thing you originally teased me about: “According to the Torn forums, this person is terrible.”

Although I admit there is one particularly damning piece of evidence already available:

She is apparently trying to get an AI to publicly review her own twatitude.

That’s pretty suspicious.

so I guess I might be a twat but it is currently unconfirmed.  If you asked my significant other he’s likely to say, “She’s not a twat. She’s a full on ****!”  We gave a truly mean spirited love language. 40 years of fun!
