Hello all,

Just thought of a way to give a small buff to a seemingly underwhelming ranked war Bonus that would be quite a strategy changer for some ranked wars.

Currently an Irradiate Bonus gives some radiation poisoning, which is a 1% stat loss, let's face it, that's really not a powerful bonus in line with some of the buffs of other weapons and armor give.  On most players that already are operating under a few percentage points loss to xanax anyways.

Here is my suggestion.

Make the irradiate bonus stackable, but only at a chance of being stacked upon hitting the same person.

The stackable chance table would follow the quality of the weapon.

Any weapon under 100% quality cannot stack.  It's a low-quality weapon with just the standard rules.

Any weapon over 100% has a chance to stack based on how much over 100% it is.

A 100% and lower weapon has no stack chance.
A 100.01% Weapon has a 0.01% chance to stack.

A 125.42% Weapon has a 25.42% chance to stack.

I am sure the table is easy enough to build from there.  It gives a Bonus that can be brought into a new strategy of ranked war.  It would help the Neumune Tablet economy and allow some excessively high stat layer to be dropped a few pegs, after a few hours of ranked war they could be sitting at a -15% radiation debuff and be hit by many more players.

I saw another suggestion that people shouldn't be able to fly while irradiated.  There is no way someone should be able to walk thru airport security without setting off those alarms.

On top of stacking, make the Irradiate bonus have a range on which it can inflict radiation sickness, with higher ranges available at higher qualities. I mentioned it in AndyMan's thread, but Irradiate is hands-down my favourite weapon bonus because it makes radiation sickness seen outside of just dirty bombs and irradiated bloodbags, and it makes for some interesting possible gameplay from a debuffer stance. But that would certainly be easier if you could inflict more than just -1% on people >.> That being said, if we're allowing stacking like that, it should get exponentially harder to stack the more irradiated someone already is. That way you don't end up with an absolute titan losing to a solo newbie just because their teammates somehow managed to stack 100% irradiated on them

It would take well over 100 hits to stack 100% debuff on someone like that.  I feel if a faction can do that, then it could be deployed as a strategy.  Though I think the math would fail, a person could not be revived or heal out enough to stack that many hits before the radiation cooldown probably won.

I am sure someone can come up with a graph to determine who much a percentage of Debuff could be given at any given chance of radiation, followed by cooldown and possible number of hits during a specific timeframe.

I can't see even the most powerful irradiate weapons going past 20-30% before other cooldowns such as revive or medical make it impossible to hit the person again, and the debuff only last a few hours after the last hit.

That's very true. And man, wouldn't that be an interesting sight to see? Someone sitting there at -100% stats due to a truly dedicated organization of factions spamming irradiate and revives just to hit that number. That'd be a neat merit to have as well.

All in all, absolutely, please make Irradiate more interesting
