Part of why they released it in august was so that it wont be too disruptive due to elims and halloweek breaks letting them fix it before the warring season starts again. Its been like 3 regular weeks since the changes really happened since elims changes war schedules.
Since the change we termed 2 wins and termed 2 losses to test where it caps us, the wins didnt take us any further in rank and the losses dropped us by 3 ranks, the 2 real wars in that range we won though ,and that also only progressed our rank by 1 in the war where we had deranked intentionally before.
Last weeks matchup is another example, its even on paper, but...we stomped them without breaking a sweat ? its one of the downsides of taking stats into account at all, the matchups we are getting right now are retirees or much worse than us, and it was rather very demotivating to win gold 3 wars and still be in gold, and that even after stomping a faction in 8 hours to still be in the same bracket as them, in Gold 1, just to match a platinum 0 faction, albeit we should still win that one.
Quite simply, reducing our ability to progress in ranks means we stopped valuing wins as much, since it wouldnt change anything, making us more likely to term, and since the opponents we got were similar in stats but had much less in terms of gear, activity and such we were still easily able to get very one sided terms.
for example, both these termed losses had caches or money transferred to us for taking the loss, one of them had us taking twice the pay per hit as them for taking the loss. While in none of the wins did we have to give any money for getting the win, and i believe in one case we got paid for participation score.
Its not so much that we are terming, its that the faction we are matching are accepting bad terms because quite frankly they know we can beat them, unlike previously where it felt like we would have settled in plat 1-2 and have had to struggle to mantain that rank against much harder opponents.
