I don't see any fun in begging, I to have read some guides and read the forums. Someone mentioned do not slut, but I found it a quick way to make 10 mil. Why would you not want to slut …
Never had anyone ask me for advice, generally they ask you to send them money.

Honestly, the best thing you can do it to tell them to do the missions and then read Hank's Guide.

I'd give them links to my guides and give them some free basic stuff that helps them in those goals to make money, if they're a female I'll give them more stuff and continue giving them stuff over time and hitting on them. If they're a guy I'll just give them the initial advice and links, then whatever they ask for later.
Go to Tutorial and Guide in forums.
Get into a p.I as quick as possible train your stats f*** power leveling unless you want to use drugs and only power level to 15 then train your stats train train train
I tell them to read and read some more. All the tutorials, the wiki page, TCBasic or whatever they're called now. Get in to buying and selling, invest your money and stay out of the casino. Most importantly though be nice to people when you can.
As others have said, read the forums and the tutorials. A new player needs to get an idea of how many different things work in order to be able to decide on a long- and short-term strategy. Without basic strategies you might be wasting your time or even doing things you wish could be undone later.
Usually it's more specific but as a general:
- get married
- explore the city and click on everything and try all of it
- always always be in an education
- get a job
- get to level 15 as fast as you can
- spend all your e and all your n as often as you can
- don't use global
- read
if you send a newbie say 500k, which we are unlikely to miss, they will blow it, or brag about it and have it mugged off them
personally, i tell them how to make money, lease them a semi detatched and let them get on with it

the last few times i have helped a newb, its alwys finished with the begging.
newbs i helped with weapons and armour ended up in fed
newbs i gave a place in my faction go inactive
all i say now is
dont gamble
powerlevel to lvl 15
dont beg
and be polite in chat
if they push it, or start begging then they get bountied
That never happened to me but i think i would tell them to train as hard as possible as it's aaaaalll about the battlestats.

Do lots of begging and moan about it in the forums! Seems to be the general way things are done now-a-days!
Seriously - Use the wealth of info in forums. Search before asking, you're question will undoubtfully be the first and likely have already been answered.
And don't expect to achieve anything over night... 2 AND HALF YEARS IT TOOK ME TO OD ON CANNABIS!!! Things can take an age in this game.
