I'm sure plenty of people have toyed with the idea of trying out a new username temporarily but haven't done it out of fear of someone stealing their current username.
What I propose is a system wherein you can pay to reserve your username for a predetermined amount of time so no one can steal it if you want to try out something new.
The option could be below the name change system in your settings, essentially looking like a duplicate of the current name change box, but with its own description. If someone tries to change their name to a name that is currently reserved, they could get a warning stating "Sorry, this username is reserved by (Current Name) for (duration)"
Since a name change to something that isn't taken costs 100 points, I suggest a fee of either 500 or 1000 points to reserve a name. Currently used names should not be reservable except by the person holding the name, and you should only be allowed 1 reserved name at a time. Reserves will automatically expire after a set number of months, at which time you need to pay the fee over again to reserve it. I think 6 months would be appropriate, as it would give people more leeway so they don't need to change names as soon as the 3-month cooldown on name changes is up, but I have opened a poll below to see how long people would like.

Have you ever had a question for staff and not known who you should contact? This guide will hopefully help point you in the right direction! All staff are here to help you out with general knowledge, answering your questions, and making sure that the game is a fun and safe environment but with different levels, come different responsibilities and abilities.
Please note that if someone is breaking the rules, you are best off reporting them using the report button on their profile. This will add it to a queue so it can be dealt with in the order that the reports come in and by the appropriate level of staff.

Helpers - as the main point of contact for new players, helpers are your go-to for any questions you may have about the game. They can help you figure out the game interface if you’re brand new and need a helping hand, or you’ve been playing for a while and have a question that you have been searching for an answer to.
Moderators - the next step up the rung, mods have much the same responsibilities as helpers with a few behind the scenes differences.
Officers - most of an officer’s work is behind the scenes, but as they have all gone through the ranks, they can help you with questions as well. While all staff can answer questions about the rules, officers are generally the most experienced staff and have ample experience in this field. IceBlueFire and Velthir are designated script moderators and can answer any questions you may have regarding the scripting rules.
Admins - as the most visible members of staff, bogie, CloudJumper, and PrincessJulie deal with the highest level issues. If you think you’ve found an abusable, game-breaking bug that you don’t want to post in the forums, you can mail it to bogie. If you are unsure about something being a bug or not, CloudJumper is the go-to guy. You should contact PrincessJulie if you have an issue with the behaviour of a staff member or you believe your report was incorrectly handled.
Developers - Developers won’t respond to questions.
I have a gambling problem, can you limit my access to the casino?
You can now do this yourself in your settings. Bans start at 7 days, you can unlock longer durations by completing the shorter ones. Once the ban is in place you won’t be able to reverse it if you change your mind. You won’t have access to any part of the casino, including the wheels or the slots. This means that if you get a mission that involves the casino, you won’t be able to complete it. You can learn more about Casino Bans here.
I want a family member to join the game but I don’t want to be fedded for using the same IP
Two people in the same house can play without any problems, even using the same computer or device. You can help each other out and play together as long as one account doesn't exist just to feed the other. If you are the same person it is easy to tell and will result in the multiple account being deleted and the main account put in federal jail.
Someone messaged me pretending to be my faction leader/spouse/director on another account, what do I do?
Contact any online officer or community manager. If none are online, then contact a moderator or helper.

Unfortunately, staff will not comment on why another account has been placed in federal jail. For privacy reasons, the only place it will be discussed is in the federal jail report that the player will see when they log into their account.

Please report them regardless. Staff would rather spend a bit of time checking a suspicious account and have nothing wrong than to let actual cheaters get off free.
I was in fed and my discord account was banned from the Torn server, can I rejoin after getting out?
Any member of staff should be able to help you get your account unbanned. Discord mirrors the start of our bans but doesn't check for people being released.
I still don’t know who to contact, what do I do?
You can message anyone on the team and we can either answer your question or direct you to someone who can.

Just to clear this up, we changed the text to specify that AI images weren't permitted, but the rule never changed. We've never allowed them.
A few months ago sugarvalves passed along the job of accepting comics to me, and all of the comics you've listed above are ones that I've accepted. I do run all comics that I accept through an AI image detector, but these all specify that they aren't 100% accurate.
Of course, I don't know what people are doing, but AgntOrngRuffy has been submitting comics in that same style since before generative AI was capable of doing this kind of work.
As a newer player, Dalmacio doesn't have this same history, but their entries have been questioned to me privately and all their images have gone through approximately six different AI image detectors and none gave me a response that would indicate that it is more likely to be AI than not. Humans do make mistakes too.
I'm always happy to take a second look because AI images are getting better constantly, but there are some genuinely talented artists in Torn as well.
