What a fucking final hoorah that was from the cannons. Left with 1 life we took 3 from Rocket Scientists. Chat was going mental, everyone stepped up. What a way to go out. Every day we were pushed to 0 and everyday we fought back up from the bottom. The resilience shown from the loose cannons has been nothing short of spectacular. But now, our eliminations run has come to an end. Not the result any of us wanted. We came into this wanting to take that #1 spot, and it hurts to fall short of that. However, I would not change this experience for the world. This was the most fun I’ve had on Torn in a long time. The pushes, the planning, the late nights, the chaos, everything.

I don’t think I’ll ever forget the absolute carnage that was FULL CAPS. Shoutout Capmaster for getting this going and somehow having everyone screaming ARRRRR in the chat and building morale all around. Before attacking started we got the entire team changing their names to caps. What followed was 2 days of full caps and chaos while morale went through the roof. It was completely ridiculous yet somehow exactly what we needed. For me that was the moment the loose cannons felt like a team and I believed.

A massive shoutout to my fellow vice captains, because there is so much that goes on behind the scenes during Elims and I couldn’t have asked for a better group to go through all of this with. Before the event I knew none of you and now I come out with lifelong torn friends.

Gem brought a level of dedication to this team that we absolutely needed. Whether it was coordinating people, handling supplies, keeping people on track, reminding us all about self care, reminding us that this is still a game and there are actual people behind the screens, or reminding me to fucking breathe lmao. The vibes, the effort, all of it. The team rallies around you and it’s clear to see why.

QueenWoog, quite simply the best Woog. Coordinating people, helping coordinate the scripts and bots, holding and distributing supplies and literally flipping your schedule upside down to make sure our dead zone was covered. You put so much into this team and it absolutely did not go unnoticed.

Thor brought the perfect mixture of level headedness and absolute chaos and banter. Always willing to speak his mind in leadership and explain his viewpoint, even if it went against the room. 

WashedUpCatcher did so much behind the scenes and was constantly finding ways to build energy and keep morale high. Last night especially, watching us climb back up ticket by ticket from 0 while you were relentlessly spamming us with newsies and keeping everyone moving and farming.

And last but definitely not least, I want to give our captain Nightwing his flowers. I know the last few days have come with plenty of opinions and plenty being said, but I don’t want that to overshadow how much he put into this team. I’ve seen firsthand the time, energy and effort he poured into the team throughout this entire event. He cared deeply about this team, and gave us everything he had from start to finish. Whatever the result, the work he put in deserves its recognition.

And beyond the vice captains, a massive shoutout to every single person on council, every helper, advisor, push lead and armoury manager. There are so many people who put time and effort into this team behind the scenes, whether people saw it or not. Every single one of you contributed to making this run what it was, and none of that effort went unnoticed. Special shoutout as well to Madgod, BangBewok for building the tools which were vital to our success, and everyone else who covered shifts, organised people or just saw something that needed doing and got it done.

And finally thank you to EVERY single Loose Cannon who showed up and contributed. Whether you were making hundreds of hits, helping with supplies, bounties, coordination, keeping chat alive or answering the call when we needed numbers, you were all a part of this. Just like the teams before us we ended up facing odds that were always going to be incredibly difficult to overcome, but that’s the name of the game. Best of luck to the remaining teams, may the best team win.

This war was the definition of stats vs activity, but that doesn’t mean my guys didn’t show up activity wise. Day 1 was rough. We took control early initially because ODB had a 7-hour turtle planned. We won some pushes lost some, and our chain dropped pretty low multiple times with ODB stalking us to break it. Still, we kept it alive long enough for our flyers to land and keep it rolling. Following this and going into day 2 the war was a lot more in our favour. 

It’s easy for outsiders to talk, but if you were watching the pushes, you’d see how much went into each push from both sides. We’ve faced factions with more greens than ODB and handled them without too much trouble. But this? This was different. ODB’s level of organisation, their speed, their coordination was solid. Every push felt like a proper fight, and their mid-stats pack a mean punch. The commitment to self-hosping during turtles made it v difficult and frustrating to gain any ground when on top.
