I’m not surprised by Belle’s actions or her ‘above the law’ antagonistic response.  It is pathetic, but this is the blueprint they are shown over and over from their ‘superior’ and clearly this moderation ‘style’ is condoned.  It is better to just not interact with staff at all or you risk the ego-ban.

All I know is that the game was definitely better before there was a bot / script to do all the work for you.  Now there is a little bot/script/cheat for nearly every action.  The wars were much better when people had to do the chain watching and everything else themselves (hence more real wars were happening).  Now you can’t even compete without these ‘tools’…which only seem to help select nerds and their friends.

Sure looks like harassment to me.  Then again…Oman looked pretty guilty of breaking the rules too and we saw nothing happen there (they just ignore it and sweep it under the rug over and over).  

It all depends on who you are, how much you’ve donated, and who is doing the reviewing…not if you are guilty of breaking the rules.

I know bogie is MIA but wtf.....please grave. If you haven't been affected by it then lucky you but it is devastating, and it is not to be joked about.

Please, next time use a little common sense when this type of situation inevitably comes up again.  I'm not just talking about cheating automated scripters like this case, but in general.  As the community manager, when you start drawing clearly movable/erasable lines in the sand and bend the rules on a case by case basis the community is going to see you as a clown.  Start with temp bans immediately anytime you feel emotional or pressured by the community, before flexing that banhammer - then move to permanent once the facts have been determined objectively (not when the forum is simmering....let it cook).  This whole situation is another s-show that ruins the community's faith/trust in staff in general, especially when it is coming from the top of the ladder.  Over and over we see bias judgment and punishments that 'spin the wheel' on outcomes (hence the massive upvotes on that meme).

Also to the torn community - be careful people.  It has been clear again and again that this version of 'community management' is not only tolerated but it is condoned by ched himself, and you may be the next victim.  Speaking your mind unfortunately puts a target on your back, and it will be remembered in any situation it can be applied (it can be used against you in bogies court of law, years later).  Ultimately, it is cheds game and he can do whatever he wants with it.  Overall, I think we can all agree he's done an awesome job...the fact that so many of us 'old timers' are still playing and so many new faces keep coming speaks to that loudly.  Honestly in skjolds situation...if I was in his shoes and a millionaire whale was spending the big bucks ($100,000+ USD)  on my game...I doubt I would mind him screwing over a few hundred of the normal players with a promise that the cash kept coming in.  Also as a side-note, it is really easy to point out bogie's flaws and what he does wrong - but he also does a lot right as well.  It is easier to highlight his faults than his achievements for sure...I just wish he wasn't always on the defensive every time someone has an opinion he doesn't like.  That's my two cents anyway...
