Hey guys, I'm not sure how the new attacking system will work when it comes out, or whether this would interfere with that. But I was talking to my friend and we thought this would be a pretty awesome feature if it was added to Torn.
The current attacking system is good and simple, you attack someone and then you either win, lose or stalemate.
when you stalemate with someone it says: "You realise you have been in this fire fight for a while now and hear police sirens. You give up and make a run for it."
The idea is, what if the jail system was incorporated into this? it says you hear the police sirens so you make a run for it, so shouldn't there be a chance of you being caught by the cops? If there was a system developed so that when you stalemate with someone, there's a about a %50 of you being caught by the cops. Someones Dexterity and/or a new enhancer could possibly decrease the chances of being caught
The good things about this are: -this would make obtaining the "deadlock"(100 stalemates) honor bar a little more difficult, because the new busting/jail system will be released soon. -It also makes a part of Torn just a little more intricate and realistic.
other than adding a little more people to the jail, there aren't many negatives to this idea.
I personally love all of the games in the CoD series, although CoD 2 will always be my favorite . this is exciting news for someone like me, but, well the new Advanced Warfare version of CoD, along side with Titan fall, has changed the way that i see FPS's in general, so i'm not sure if i can adapt from the intense fast pasted shooters, back to the old simpler and some-what slower versions. This deeply saddens me.
unless of course, they some how figure out a way to make CoD still fast paste in the same way or another
Also there's an 'A' in the corner of these forum text boxes, you can use the 'insert' function in there to place a picture properly for everyone to see without going to an external site
Needs a lot of work bro, but you have a good concept going. keep at it and you'll get there. I suggest checking some of these out, and also other tutorials in your spare time
Good in theory, although I believe this would put a lot of pressure onto new players to level up, and kind of take away from the experience of, 'be who you wanna be' and therefor quite possibly ruin the next generations of players.
This little detail bothers me more than it should :P this is when you attack someone, or are attacked, and you look at the attack log. if you or the enemy have landed a critical hit with a weapon that uses bullets, it says- Lone_Soldier fired 9 of his BT MP9 hitting Someone in the heart for 336 but when you land a non-critical hit, it says- Lone_Soldier fired 4 rounds of his ArmaLite M-15A4 Rifle hitting Someone in the stomach for 212
The critical hit should say- Lone_Soldier fired 9 rounds of his BT MP9 hitting Someone in the heart for 336 not Lone_Soldier fired 9 of his BT MP9 hitting Someone in the heart for 336
I've checked this with multiple events and the word 'rounds' is missing in every critical hit with a weapon that uses bullets.
Perfect Dark, yes, dude, that game was the shit! I was pretty good back in the day, although I tried playing it recently, and damn those controls are just, something else [:dizzy:]
