Landlord Assistance - Torn Property Manager

This script is entirely open to anyone to use or modify.

This tool is a simple way to manage properties. As us landlords get more and more properties to manage, scrolling through the many pages can be painful. This will add all your rental properties into one table easy to manage. 

Disclaimer: This is my first user script, forgive me if there's issues, report them in the comments and I will solve.

Hidden property ID as not really needed, added Daily Rent cost.

Fix for container loading on PDA on all pages once loaded (PDA Only), removed the close button as no longer needed

Added a close button which removes the whole element to solve issue with the property manager showing on every page once loaded (PDA only), added a check to see if the element already exists to solve duplication issue (PDA only)

Little fix for empty properties being hidden due to a change to the user API

Also enhanced the search box to search by renter ID or Name name, so you can quickly find a property if one of your tenants messages you.

Since yesterday a user with 200+ properties reporting an issue that seems to stem back to the API.

Using an example (user gave me permission to use their ID)

Returns 100 properties

But if we take the id's of these

Run the API with an offset of 100

I am expecting this to give me properties 100-200

But it seems to just offset by 1

https://api.torn.com/v2/user/190060/properties?offset=100&limit=100

To recreate please just run these API requests.

Little update to fix a minor issue where your current property would show in the list if you are the tenant and not the owner

[API-v2] Changed default sorting in 'market' -> 'rentals' to match the site (previously used 'Happy DESC, rent cost ASC', now using ' Happy DESC, rent per day ASC')

Yay thanks splent! 

I'll update the script soon to use a much more efficient way of getting the rental price recommendations! 

4.2.0 UPDATE

• Added the Rental market suggestion to new rentals (Was just renewals before)
• Added a new button to under cut the market
  • defaults to 1% but can be modified in settings if you prefer
• Added a safety warning popup to say you are +/- 25% of the lowest market price
  •  (i accidentally added a 100 day rental for like 20m.... no more)

4.1.2 UPDATE

• Added rental market suggestion (works off the max PI happiness and the lowest cost per day)
  • I dont plan on changing the property or happiness, everyone should be renting max PI's :D
• Added renters name and link to profile
• Cleaned up mobile view

I think its Happiness DESC, Cost ASC

and yeah Happiness DESC is fine, but cost Asc kinda sucks

I'd like an option to use cost_per_day which is better for rental pricing.

Hey thanks for the suggestion, this is not something I am likely to add.

It adds some extra complexity that won't really impact many.

I get a lot of queries from my script users to get latest market prices (they and I are lazy lol)

I would assume its another sort by filter to apply a desc filter on cost_per_day.

I toyed with pulling all the rentals and doing my own logic, but it's messy and not ideal for a user script.

If it's a no go, totally understand :)

Hey thanks, I've not noticed this myself I still definitely get all my details for my own properties. 

Can I just check you are absolutely on the latest version and you're using a limited access api key? 

Getting an error when trying to open the racing notification and racing shortcut, assume the url endpoint has changed.

With the market/{propid}/rentals API

Is this just ordered by the time the rental was created? Can we have some additional ordering on this so I can replicate the rental market for my Property Manager user script?

As no user id's or anything are on the API I am hoping so as it's not easy to set up mugging bots.

I think the rental market is ordered by the total Cost so would love to get that replicated to help provide suggested rentals to remain competitive.

So it's kinda possible but the rentals API is pretty gross, it looks like it's sortable on like the timestamp of the record (I think) and I hate thta.

In regards to the concern about impacting property rental price, yeah it could do, this extension has maybe like 60 active users, it likely won't impact it much.

Also, in all honesty, it's not my problem. I make tools cos I am lazy. Providing it is within the rule and ToS, i couldn't really care otherwise.

I am going to enquire about the API ordering to see if I can essentially replicate the Rental market page, I have a suspicion that they don't allow it due to mugging bots, but that's just a theory.

Okay big update day! 

Apologies in advance if anything breaks, please let me know. I have tested all the functions on web and PDA but I can't always replicate all the different states so let me know.

Version 4 Release

 Major API Integration Updates:

  - Removed localStorage-based offer tracking - now uses API
  lease_extension field directly

  - Updated colour logic: Green for active lease extensions or for_rent
  properties, Orange for expiring leases, Red for empty unused properties
  - Removed "Offer" button column from table
  - Updated status display: "rented" → "Rented", "none" → "Empty", shows
  lease extension details
  - Increased table row padding for better readability
  - Kept auto-fill functionality for rental forms

Code Cleanup & Bug Fixes:
  - Removed dead code and unused functions
  - Added input validation for API keys and settings
  - Fixed double dollar sign display on mobile daily rent
  - Consolidated duplicate code and improved organization

  Technical:
  - Enhanced error handling 

This week or next I will make the change for splents other API change which is adding in the lease_extension field.

This will mean that we can quickly toggle the offers automatically from TORN data rather than storing it in local storage, this solves the age old problem of us that use the script on both browser and PDA, the data will be shared on both.
