So, being a car enthusiast, I took it upon myself to try to identify that riddled mess that was once a car. I do believe that I have more or less succeeded.
So, I haven't played video games in a long ass time but when I did, my favorite weapon in any shooter was the infamous Desert Eagle. From the blingy gold-plated one in Hitman: Contracts to the one-hit kill cannon in San Andreas. Since the Desert Eagle exists here in Torn, I figured to use it as my primary weapon, not because it's the best weapon but because it's my favorite. I completed the bachelor course in Combat Training a while back and journeyed to achieve 100% experience with it to maximize the awesomeness factor. I'm happy to say that I have finally achieved that...
Next up is to do some missions and get some nifty upgrades for it. And maybe get some of the fancier ammo. And, being a Desert Eagle-related topic, I'll close with something relevant...
"...and the fact that I've got "Desert Eagle point five-oh" written down the side of mine should precipitate your balls into shrinking along with your presence."
Of course, a taller backrest needs a taller person, so you yourself are also made taller. As such, you find that your new backrest is too short so you once again find yourself wishing again for a taller backrest.
I wish I had a stick of dynamite to completely obliterate my old computer if it doesn't stop being a PITA and just boot to the frigging USB stick so I can install a damned OS!
It's okay if I don't win, though. I received a bottle of JD for Christmas yesterday that I'm already indulging in and I'm off work all week through New Year's! This has been my best holiday season in years. :)
I pseudo-own a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with the 5.9 Magnum V8. It has an open element intake that I added a few months ago which looks and sounds awesome. Unfortunately, the intake manifold pan gasket is blown and the ECU has the crappy "death flash" holding back my ignition advance, so the truck's a bit poochy. At the moment it's sitting in my driveway with a plugged catalytic converter and I'm waiting for the new one to arrive. I can't bypass it, cause one of the O2 sensors plugs into the cat itself and if that thing isn't happy, my 12 MPG is going to turn into 4. Damned electronics...
My project car is a 1992 Honda Prelude S with the F22A1 engine and a 5 speed. 266,000 miles on the clock, but still running strong. The car needs brakes to be drivable and I'm hoping to have them done this weekend. The clutch is next on the list as it's almost gone but it'll hold long enough for me to have a little fast and furious fun. :) A sneaking part of me wants to "Bisimoto" the engine to kick out 300+ naturally aspirated horsepower, but for the money I could buy a used Viper instead. Who knows what'll happen...
My local creamery sells creamline milk. It's not cheap, and you gotta remember to shake it up before pouring, but it's waaay better than anything Walmart and the c-stores peddle. It just has a certain...well, creaminess that even wholesale whole milk just doesn't match.
Stir in a bit of chocolate syrup and a dash of vanilla extract, and you've basically got a simple dessert in a mug!
Local bar does okay, ditto for the restaurant down the street. But homemade is absolutely divine. Paired with fresh, crispy fries, and you've got a match made in heaven.
More than a few times I've awoken on a "Hangover Monday" to a $50+ donation to Torn that I had no recollection to making. Not that I've ever REGRETTED it, mind you.
As for some of my drunken eBaying on the other hand...
This event is annoying and satisfying at the same time. I was honestly disappointed when I read that it was cancelled this year. But then, I hear that a bunch of players were going to band together to run it and I gotta say, it was WAY better than thought it would be. I think there were even more participants than last year!
Thanks to all who participated and definitely kudos to Piccolo for organizing the whole shebang! It was actually inspiring enough that I might take a time slot and jump in next year.
Any particular reason the Beretta 92FS has a shorter barrel than the M9? The two guns are very damned near the same with pretty minor differences (the sights being the main one), but barrel length isn't one of them.
The 92 happens to be one of my personal favorites, so this discrepancy kinda jumps out at me, LOL.
EDIT: Upon closer inspection, the 92FS here has COMPACT engraved on the slide. That would certainly explain the difference in barrel length, but...is it intended to be the FS or Compact model?
I love the new 3D-rendered models, but it seem some of the models need to be revisited.
So, I found this pillow on the city map a while ago, and I just now realized that the damage is low. Like, REAL low. Briefly looking around, I haven't seen one, or any other weapon for that matter, with this low of damage, so I'm just curious, is this the "softest" pillow ( and weakest weapon) in the game? If not, I'd be curious to know!
Sorry for the necro-bump, but it has come to my attention that the Beretta 92FS has not only been excluded from RW caches, but is now actually available! Sooo, I'm gonna revitalize this and see what pops up.
I'm light on cash, but I do have an orange Beretta M9 with the following goods that I'd be willing to throw in for the right stuff...
Damage: 44.47 Accuracy: 60.48
Quicken: +126% bonus to speed Cupid: +59% damage to heart hits
I'd love to see a comparable Quicken bonus along with one of the other bonuses listed in my OP, so looking for at least Orange.
That said, if you have a Yellow 92 with one of the desired bonuses in the OP, I might be interested in buying. Let me know what you got!
