I play this game a lot cos I work, play, eat, and sleep on a computer. It's an awesome game. However, it's a real ***burn when I go to jail or go to the hospital. I have nothing to do. I understand that there are forums here and there's the newspaper to read, but the newspaper doesn't update fast enough for me to read new material all the time, and the forum people aren't always atk.

Let's make a poll.

tl;dr Why not add a newsfeed where we post lines/content like in Facebook? Please give pros and cons.

This would also mean having to "follow" players like in Twitter. It will surely add more traffic and activity in the website. It would also mean revamping the "Friends" list in the lower-right corner button... the list right now doesn't require that the other person "friend" you too, but if the "newsfeed" idea were to be followed, people will have to "accept" friend requests.

Please post constructive criticism.

but given the possibilities, torn can rival facebook in popularity. everyone can attack, make companies, study courses, and still be able to make friends.

basically all im saying is that torn admins might get more traffic and players and whatnot might they have this newsfeed style idea.

it would make torn more appealing to casual gamers. people today just log in to facebook and close their browser. why not try making torn one of those sites that they visit before they turn off their computer, right? plus people can meet up too. i agree with unknownelement that this may not be facebook, but it sure would be more interesting if people could add a newsfeed like that.

you know i was just googling a way to fix my dandruff this afternoon. it's weird i found one answer here in Torn of all places. woot

Why not keep the gyms that you can presently go to in the city locations? If players click on a gym they aren't presently enrolled at, they then should be presented the page where one must pay to activate the gym.

If a player has more than one house, why not show all of their on the map, and hyperlinking all of each into the Properties page? If ever the player has more than one of each KIND only one of each kind should be shown (such as, if I had two mansions, only one mansion would show).

How about a location for one's company too?

I agree. Browsing each page just to see who isn't hospitalized is an ***burn. Why not just list them at least by time until they become "okay"?

have you tried Unity Editor? im not savvy in the subject, but you might want to check out the youtube entries and testimonials about it. i've tried it myself, but i never really finish what i start XD

dunno about ecigs, but i tried looking for other alternatives to the cig addiction altogether. I ended up watching porn twice to 3 times a day and drinking coffee/iced tea while im at it.

I left my home at four-thirty in the afternoon. It was snowing. I decided to leave my Thompson at home; didn't want any police going after me. And besides, there's no one to shoot at the moment, right?

I was bored.

Time to make some money.

I ran into this candy shop somewhere near the docks. It was pretty big for a candy shop. There were candies everywhere, isles full of bonbons and mints and chocolates. I took a bunch of bonbons. No one saw. I tried my best to grab a few chocolates too. All clear? Good. Now for some mints.......

Some old lady shows up with a double-barrel behind me and poked the back of my neck with the thing. "Let's wait for the police, shall we?" Crud.

I was sent to prison for taking mints! Mints! Why would I go to jail for mints?

Suddenly, I hear a loud bang. Alarm bells started ringing. Then, gunfire. I heard the guards shouting, then, each one shouting as they were shot down one by one. It was some guy named TORN_REAPER. Benelli in hand, he held me in the shoulders as I was dazed from the dust of the explosions. I got out of the slammer because of a stranger.

I'll never forget him.

After all that, I get home, and find out 2me2uandback has kicked me out of the penthouse I've been renting from him. Back to the shack for me, I guess.

I shoulda brought my sawed-off with me that day.

So... the General Discussion forum in the Non-Related list is for random things, so we can assume that the General Discussion forum in the Main Forums list is for things that SHOULD be Torn City related, right?

I think the Chronicles in the newspaper has too few entries, and its present entries are too long. The point of this thread is to give players who don't want to write too long anecdotes and make stories that can still break the Fourth Wall.

The anyone who agrees with me in the poll can post an anecdote.
