Hey Mauk, I read the newspaper article today. Thank you for creating such a wonderful tool that many people on here have used. I truly appreciate it and it has made me enjoy Torn just that much more. :)
Man, I hate commenting in GD but here goes. I personally revive to utilize my energy while I'm flying. I hate "idle" energy. So I tend to revive someone from the hospital wherever I may fly to. Side effects of this is sometimes I get payment, sometimes a pleasant "Thank You", most of the time silence. I don't see reviving as a "business" so to speak, but others might. I prioritize a revive based on someone's online status and how long they are going to be in the hospital, money doesn't really matter as there are more efficient ways of generating it.
On another note, if people don't want to be revived by a stranger, then change your setting. Otherwise when I travel, I'm typically going to revive someone in the hospital so that my energy doesn't get to full, and stops regenerating.
I don't usually post, but this is hilarious. There is no scam. You have to confirm the purchase you are buying, so if you aren't reading then that isn't the fault of the person who is placing items that look similar to each other as the same price as Xanax.
In my mind, this is genius. Folks just have to slow down and read.
If you have donator days, wait untill that is close to running out before subscribing. I have about 120+ days of donator status due to free days added over the course of time from various events, people whom you've referred to the game leveling up. When you subscribe, you get your donator status and days (30/31?) each month. I halted my subscription so I can burn through these days. When I'm down to 1, I'll subscribe again.

Thanks for the race and gifts! Was fun!
This is persisting for myself as well.
Arresting is a new feature they added to the game. To allow player "bounty" hunters so to speak. Some of us are chasing our nerve bars to get to 60 NNB, so that eventually the factions can do the higher rated organized crimes.
It's a neat mechanic, and have fun with it.

When I first logged in there was one on the main screen.

No doubt you are correct ED. Scammers are typically dishonest people. That's why you must take measures to protect yourself.
I actually am okay with scammers. I don't dabble in anything outside of what the game mechanics protect you from. You'll need to be more specific as to what classifies as a scam.
Even the trade scams are easily detected, if you are reading carefully and looking at the information provided. Plus, this is Torn, what would this place be without scammers?
You have scammers in real life, from people phoning telling you that you have to pay your taxes of $5000, and that you have to buy S.t.e.a.m. cards to pay it down. So run to the local store and buy a bunch, then scratch off the codes and let me know what they are.

The thing with waiting for Crimes 2.0, is it could be harder to get to the higher nerve level. I'd rather get to 60 nerve pre-crimes 2.0. But everyone has their own strategy.
To the OP, you basically need to not be jailed. You can do any crimes, some are more consistent than others, and just don't get jailed. As you do crimes successfully, you build up crime xp. You can't see what this value is, only it is represented via the nerve bar. Each time you get jailed, depending on the crime that you attempted, will reduce your crime xp. Just have more crime xp earned than what you lose, and eventually your nerve will climb. Nerve is one part of this game that feels like a massive marathon you are running.
This was released around St. Paddy's day, so you get a bonus to Green Stout when used on that particular day. It should be interesting to see where the price of it lands in 2019 around the same time.
This is amazing, thanks for this script. I'm going to start using this due to DoctorN that has ceased functioning on me. I like looking at code too, maybe there are ways of contributing/tweaking/changing.
Thanks for this!
Beer you get the x5 and for only 1hr for each beer. Fantastic! So in a Pub you can increase that a bit.
I imagine there are a bunch of us looking for those newsletters. I always enjoy the bonus energy in them.

Very useful information. Thanks!

Yeah, and how is it irrelevant? Unless you want to get to really finite minutia on what is what. In my post I clarified my opinion.
But if it's something about an actual "item" that can be traded that is like an FHC, then sure. Using JP's is different and not really an item. But the result is one the same. Energy can be refilled, nerve can be refilled, just the method is different. I would consider a job perk pretty close to an FHC. I can trigger it when I want to like an FHC. I just can't trade it.
I'm surprised you folks don't know this. But I would consider working at a Pub the FHC equivalent using Job Points. For 25 JP you can fully refill your nerve. Thus, in a 10* Pub, you can do 2 refreshes every 5 days, or one every 2.5 days.
But this is just my opinion. And you all might already know this.
Yup, sites should notify you when they would like to use cookies. So people are aware of what sort of data is being collected.
Same goes for the main jobs (Education, Medical, Army, etc.).
Well Mauk, thank you very much for your tool. I for one have enjoyed my Torn experience because of it. But as with anything, nothing lasts forever.
