I am using chat Version 3.0.0-beta25

Within the chat window it says "Add to Friends List" even when this user is already added to my friends list.

My friend WinterWolf_394 spoke with a helper (Belle) regarding how they can confirm that they were referred to the game by someone, and they were instructed that either one of us can make a forum post in bugs/issues and have the other reply in confirmation to have this sorted (if possible).

Since I have more experience in torn and writing they have asked that I create the forum post, as such I will be having them reply to this post as confirmation.

Summary: I referred WinterWolf_394 [4151733] to Torn, they missed the referral link and thus didn't actually get referred by me

When you make a wheel spin on any of the wheels and it is clearly approaching one of leslie's punishments (Face Punch, Choke Hold, Kick to the Throat), you can simple close the tab or otherwise click on a new area to "halt" leslie's attack from going through;

Step 1

00:23:28 - 15/10/25 You spun the Wheel of Lame for $1,000

Step 2

As it approaches either Face Punch, Choke Hold, or Kick to the Face, Change your area

Wait

For any period of time you can simply not visit the Wheel Spin and leslie will not punish you.

My Results

First I span the wheel and as it approached my demise I closed the tab (having a home tab open concurrently)

Then I waited about 35mins and requested a friend to initiate an attack

During their attack I visited the casino, leslie did not attack, I then clicked on Wheel Spin, as I was locked out by being under attack, leslie still did not strike. My friend then escaped, I refreshed the page currently holding the Wheel Spin and BOOM, leslie smacked me.

I sold some poison mistletoe for $30,000,000, then I was mugged for $2,563,232 AND purchased 36 Xanax both at exactly 15:35:09, resulting in my wallet having -$648,084. The money is of no concern, prior to selling the poison mistletoe I had less than $2m on hand, upon selling the mistletoe I would have had ~32m, I successfully purchased 36 Xanax and was mugged for $2.56m.

What happened to the money? If I was mugged first then I shouldn't have had the money to buy the 36 xanax, if I bought the xanax first then I shouldn't have had $2.56m mugged... right?

Based on the logs I could only assume replicating this would be a nightmare, but upon reading through bug-reports I found similar threads on same second actions that have caused "problems" so I figured this is potentially another one.

Apparently its all working fine now... for everybody... what a weird issue... I will keep a very close eye on this particular issue and see if it happens again, but for whatever reason today everything is displaying properly.... Odd since yesterday I tested with and without tampermonkey & torntools, along with closing and re-opening the browser and the issue even persisted on mobile, today everything looks fine, wth.

If the issue re-appears and I notice it, I guess I will submit a new bug report and reference this one, lol. Yeah for now though it seemingly "fixed itself", so I have no clue what could have caused it, I would say I am losing my mind, but I screenshotted it so I know I aint crazy and I saw what I saw.

EDIT:

Nevermind, i discovered that the issue is still present on "Some" friends, for example it says the same "add to friends" on my other friend but no longer on LW, also attempted the remove and re-add as suggested.... i dont know whats causing it, but for SOME friends it still persists.

Your setup is absolutely awesome!

The fact you are using PowerToys makes me so happy too, its such a wonderful thing.

I only have a single monitor but I use PowerToys so damn much for revive contracts (along with general computer superpowers, haha), here is what I am dealing with XD

Whenever a revive request comes in, I just drag the user's link into the main window as a new tab, and since PowerToys has the discord always-on-top I dont have to swap back and forth. Yes for those that dont know, there are a lot of customization options (as seen with the red border), including full hotkey configuration. PowerToys is a literal game changer and it is so cool to see someone else using it, haha. The movie player is just picture-in-picture.

Although it has been 3 years or so since this suggestion was first brought up, Its a great idea and deserves a clean shot.

bogie's proposition would replace the "Inside Scoop" special which reveals someone's cash and stats. The Hair Salon provides the ability to view someone's money, and the Law Firm provides stats. Essentially the Television Network combines them (it is very feasible to replace). Now I havent experienced any anonymous messages but I do see how it can lead to extensive drama or potential harassment, which can be an issue.

Supposing the TV Network was given this ability, not only would it allow individuals to "reveal anonymous sender", it would also encourage an additional service that the torn community can use... Selling it... How much would you pay to find out who has been sending you all those random messages or single dollar events? I'd imagine there are a few out there that have been eager to find out their tormentor XD

I would be very interested to see how this type of revealing system would impact our fine city. It adds a new method of profitability for young players and companies (only requiring 3 stars), presents a new opportunity for violence, and introduces a brand new feature to the system... Risk... As of now there is literally no risk to sending cash or messages anonymously, this would change that, and perhaps spice things up a little, haha

As a longterm tenant I can confirm this would be a substantial improvement in quality of life. All we need is a button to click, there are options for button placement already within the properties screen and landlords have an "Offer Extension" button already implemented similarly 

Though I am not a landlord who has many events and logs I am sure they can add an event. The logs could even be filtered as "Property rental market extension request owner|renter". It becomes very tedious and annoying when you have to constantly send a message, mail, or $1 as an extension request. I would presume adding this feature would also clean up one's logs and events as well (less "extension request" spam, filter log by extenson requests directly).

Example;
"Tenant requested an extension of your Property [View]"

• View could bring you directly to the offerExtension tab
• it could be a [Confirm] button that repeats the last extension offer similarly as "send offer" in offerExtension works

The point is Vayne's suggestion has grounding in torn's mechanics and should have been implemented to begin with, its such a minor thing but so functionally huge. All parties would benefit.

Tested on PC (firefox)

- TornTools was disabled during the test along with all other extensions

"Only the director can save company news" popup does not disappear unless the page is refreshed

1) go to your company job menu (https://www.torn.com/companies.php?step=your&type=1)
2) scroll down to main news

3) highlight your mouse over a greyed out star

4) the text "Only the director can save company news" will appear

5) move your mouse to subsequent stars, the text will continue to appear without disappearing

(optional) scroll up and down to see it does not remove the popups

On refresh: The popups will be cleared but the issue will persist
