A lot of players are having a hard time with Bring It mission. And with reason, Duke packs quite a punch. However, he has grown overconfident, he loves calling us weaklings and appointing a Training Day but he himself doesn't even bother training anymore!
So, let's give the Supergood Loanshark an official day and time to be spanked every week for a whole year.
I'm pretty sure he will love it.
I'll run this pool for three days and then run another so we can choose the time.
The paper performance relies on the number of computers bought. Well, checking the item graph, the number of computers in circulation have been raising by 2-3k units/day, and that without even considering the fraction of computers found daily. That's tantamount to a pool of meager 30 players buying 100 computers/day - so a single faction could make a change in the paper's direction.
So a smart investor or group of allied factions might make a cool move here...
Maybe computers will find extra use someday? It would also skyrocket in such scenarios. Like, some hacking crime whose gains rises with the number of computers owned? Or even virtual coin mining?
Hey there, I've been meddling around with job-to-stats specials.
Experimenting last time (few weeks ago), I checked that with base happiness of 5000 and around 50k STR, a single Fitness Center (Void Rage) point was giving me 27STR.
With around 12.000 base happiness, that jumped to 40 per point. I also remember checking that current GYM also affected the gains. So, here am I with 80k base STR, 52k happiness and a much better GYM - over 1250 job points netted me about 180k STR.
I heard that there have been a recent nerf in happy boosting, correcting a bug that resulted in better gains when a lot of energy was used at once - but was it supposed to affect company specials as well? Can someone confirm if the gains were calculated correctly, or somehow nerfed for I blew then all at once?
They really should have implemented a bonus for sets, even if a small one... Like Golden Broomstick + Witch's Hat | Medieval Helmet + Axe + Chain Mail | Straitjacket + Blood-Spattered Sickle/Petrified Humerus, and so on.
Otherwise, someone with a simple Axe + Kabuki mask (less than 50k) has the same bonuses as a multimillion gear build.
It displays "Before you can adjust your current loan of $1 you must pay the $1 in fees that are owed using the box below.", but whenever I insert a value in the "Pay Fees" input field, it zeroes back in the same instant. Clicking the "$" button also does not change the value (0).
So, the loan shark services were rendered inaccessible, due to the unpaid (and unpayable) 1$ fee.
Maybe Duke, being the honest chap he is, refuses to accept more than it's 2.5% tax... But there are no pennies in Torn's currency, and I guess no half penny in any currency at all... Maybe he was too drunk to do the math, dunno. Anyways, bug reported.
Using Chrome v85.0.4183.102 (Oficial version) 64 bits. Same behavior when using Opera.
A weapon smith? Ores for upgrades? That would work great for traditional RPGs, but I dunno if it would make much sense in Torn settings.
An extravagant figure called "The Collector" or something in that fashion would make more sense - a very wealthy mobster or politician, trading rare sets (including mineral /gems) for weapon mods. Would give nice background for an extra NPC too. It could also require points as part of every set, or maybe to points to reset the available options.
Interesting idea. A simple "Explore" function that would generate random events (comic outcomes are welcome!) could also be cool.
"You wandered by a japanese creek and found an Agate". "You wandered by japanese streets and got a ticket for overtaking a pedestrian by the wrong side. - $5000"
Stats/awareness/luck/money on hands could also play a role on the outcome.... Plenty of room for creativity and humor!
Yup, I'm aware current stats points does enter the formula as a multiplier (until the diminishing gains "cap" is reached). But it was a 5% difference after spending a SINGLE job point.
Anyway, I still don't understand why my company gains were so low when compared to reported army points expenditure - but a fair management decision over company specials was made, so this call ended being productive after all.
BTW, a "bug squisher" honor for having a bug report confirmed would be cool idea :)
Retested today. Interestingly, when I changed to premier for the first time, gains raised 5%. All other times, the result for spending one point was about the same. Maybe my brain is playing me tricks
