Hello new player,

If you've started taking Torn serious and read some training guides you've probably read about "Happy Jumping". But what is it and what does it look like? In the following guide i'll try to explain the basics with added pictures.
Especially for players under 200,000 battle stats in Strenght / Dexterity / Speed / Defense, the amount of Happy is very important. That's why you need to rent the best possible place that provides the most happy. Together with this great property, we can start the "Happy Jump"



In short: More happy=more gym stats gain when training In a Happy Jump we're going to increase our happy as much as possible and then train with it as much as possible.





Step-by-step how to set up the happy jump (pictures below)

Item Requirements taken and tweaked from this awesome guide you can buy these in the Item Market @ the city

-4x Xanax ($3,400,000)

-5x Erotic DVD ($14,000,000) (prices change a lot)

-25x Points ($1,365,000)

-1x Ecstasy ($70,000)

Total: $19,000,000 / +/- 32 Hours

Uses Booster Cooldown: Yes

Risk for overdose: 5-8%



Step 1: With a empty energy bar (0/150), use a xanax. This will give you 250 energy

Step 2: After drug cooldown has ended, use another xanax. This will get you to 500 energy

Step 3: After drug cooldown has ended, use another xanax. This will get you to 750 energy

Step 4: After drug cooldown has ended, use another xanax. This will get you to 1,000 energy

Step 5: Wait for Drug cooldown and Booster cooldown to reach ZERO 00:00

Step 6: Wait for the time to be xx:01 / xx:16 / xx:31 / xx:46 (check pictures! very important)

Step 7: use 5 Erotic DVD's

Step 8: Use an Ecstasy pill. Ecstasy will double your current happiness

Step 9: Train all 1,000 energy in one go

Step 10: Refill and train in one go, using another 150 energy

These are you Booster cooldown and Drug cooldown

To take a Xanax your Drug Cooldown has to be ZERO 00:00 to take another one.
Make sure the Booster cooldown is ZERO 00:00 when you start the happy jump. (dont take any booster while setting up, unles you know what you're doing!)

Take 4 Xanax (you have to wait 6-8 hours after taking one to take the following one)

Wait for the time to be xx:01 / xx:16 / xx:31 / xx:46

This is because you need to make sure you have enough time to complete the happy jump, because it will reset to your base value at xx:00 / 15 / 30 / 45
Below you can see where you can find the time. it's very small on the left bottom below the menu. Or if you type something in a chat you will see the last message time.

Read step 6 before you start!
Use as many Erotic DVD's as you can (some factions increase the amount you can take)

After taking the eDVD take an Ecstasy to double your current happy

With all this energy and happy go to the gym and train your preferred stat (highest of the gym recommended)
Here is a 10 energy train with 70,000 Happy

After using all energy, use your Refill of 150 energy in the point market

What's the difference? Here's a normal 10 energy train without all that happy. It's 6x less effective then a happy jump!

Expert Happy Jumping

For all the min-max'ers under us, here's for when you want to spend that extra effort in making the best jumps possible.

Jobs that make it better (note they have to be 10 stars for most!):

-Working in a 10* Adult Novelties makes the Erotic DVD twice as effective! This means double happy while fully loaded, so almost double the gains!
-Working in a 10* Sweet Shop can give you 4,500 happy for 30 points, these can be used to increase that happy for more gains
-Working in a 10* Farm can give you 7 energy per point, with this you can do more trains while having that high happy
-Working in a 10* Game shop gives you 5 energy/50happy per points, this means a better jump in all ways!
-Working in a 7* Candle shop give you 5 energy per point, with this you can do more trains while having that high happy

Faction Perks that make Happy Jumps better / easier:
-Toleration redudes your chance for OverDose when taking Xanax or Ecstasy
-Voracity increases your Booster cooldown timer, this means you can take more Erotic DVD for higher happy
(You could ask higher factions to pay to join, but it takes 3 days for the perks to kick in)
-Steadfast increases your total gym-stat gains by a certain percentage

Other ways to get extra energy
-If you've been inactive for a long time, you've received some free refills that you can use all in a row, this means very high gym gains possible!
-Every 3 months there is a Newsletter. This has a link on the bottom with 250 free energy refill.

Every day you can buy 100 items in the city LINK   store. These items sell for more on the market, but you have to know how to sell them. I can help you with that if you follow this guide:

1. Go to the City (see picure 1)  and choose Bits 'n' Bobs OR Sweet Shop
2. Buy 100 Lollipops / Beers / sheep / bear/ kitten / soap / tissue / rose (see picture 2 and 3)
3. Go to my profile (iribuya) and set up a trade.
4. Send however many you have to me. I pay $500 for EACH (and more if you send BULK of 300+)
5. Wait for your payment and do the same the next day.

Common questions:

• Is this a scam?
  No this is not a scam, check my friends / enemies. I have many more friends and you can contact any of these  players if you want to double check or just look at the upvotes in this post.
• How do you make money?
  There are some people that pay a little extra for those items and only buy in big numbers, i'm the middle-man.
• Why dont you just trade?
  Trading takes a lot of time and i'm not always online. I send the money as soon as i'm online and if I have forgot you, just send me a chat/mail.
• When do I get my money?
  When I log in I usually send the money first, but I've got 100 people sending me daily so it could take a while.
• Can I get advance in my payment?
  YES! If you dont trust me enough you can get 50,000 advanced on our first trade deal!
• How often can I do this?

So you’ve finally reached level fifteen so that means you can fly! When you have acces to the airfield at level 15 you can go to other countries and buy items there. There is all kinds of things available, but most people buy the Flowers or Plushies when they are abroad.

In short: Go airfield - Pick a place - FLY - buy flower/plushie - FLY back - sell items in Torn

• Why fly?
  You can buy them for a small price and others will buy them from you in Torn City for a much better price, depending on the type. Further countries tend to have more valuable flowers, because they take more time to get. People buying them probably have Museum unlocked and can exchange a SET for points. Points=money so that means that every single flower and plushie is worth money
  
  
• How to fly?
  Go to city and click travel agency. There you can choose a country and see how long the flight will take. Choose a destination depending on how long you want to fly (you can't do anything else while flying!). When you arrive, buy plushies/flowers if they are available and fly back. • What do you buy?
  You buy the Flowers and Plushies they have available. As many as you can afford and carry. It’s possible others have bought all and you have to wait. That’s why it’s smart to check Staff Edit: Phishing/Dead Link before you fly to see what the chance is it’s going to be empty. Make sure the last time it was updated is not more then 1-2 hours ago and there is at least 2,000 items left to buy.
  
  
• How do I make money when I get back in Torn?
  You can sell them yourself in the city or Bazaar (unlock with 250 points). There is a risk that someone will buy your items and then mug you with the money you just earned from the sale. This is called buy-mugging. That’s why lots of new players go to traders and sell their items to them for safe trading. You can find them in forum or trade-chat. Look at their reputation and friends/enemies. I just happen to be one too!!! These are my PRICES! You can trade me any time and it's guaranteed mug free and best prices.
  
  
• How to MAXIMIZE money and profit from flying
  -Rent a Private Island from the rental market (this gives +10 items if it has AIRSTRIP and a hired pilot)
  -Buy a Large Suitcase from the market (this gives +4 items)
  -Join a faction with Excursion 10 (this gives +10 items)
  -Join a company that gives extra travel items (Cruise Line, Flower Shop, Toy Store)
  -Fly away when you go afk for a while
  -Check the time you will land and get back online to fly back right away
  -Make sure the items are in stock at
  -Check best items for fly for: https://eski786.pythonanywhere.com/flyguide
  
  
  Some of these might cost money, but if you’re active they are worth 100% of their initial price. Private island and Large Suitcase pay themselves back in 1-2 days!
  
  
• Is that all?
  That’s all! For your first time I recommend flying to Mexico and just trying it out. Once you feel confident invest some money so you can take more items and make more money. Get used to the feeling and be disappointed when there is no items, so you learn to check TravelRun before flight.

I'm on a quest to find the best of the best (cheap) weapons and armors and am willing to pay handsomely.
Do you like to take a little gamble and get rewarded insanely then read along.


Look at my display and check my weapons and armors, they are highish quality. The goal is to all reach 90%+ quality in them, but it's a long road.


What can you do?
Buy 100 daily and see if you find an UPGRADE IN QUALITY

Amor quality prices:


85-90% --> 1,000x average yearly item value
90-95% --> 2,000x average yearly item value
95%+ --> well let's see if that's even possible ;)


Weapon quality prices:

70-75% --> 500x average yearly item value
75-80% --> 1,000x average yearly item value
80-85% --> 3,000x average yearly item value
85-90% --> 5,000x average yearly item value
90-95% --> 10,000x average yearly item value
95%+ --> 25,000x average yearly item value... wtf


So let's say you find a hammer that has 82% quality, since it's higher then the one I have at the time of writing. I would pay $84 x 20,000 = $1,680,000
Hammer is one of the cheapest items in the game, but if the item value goes up, price goes up quick.

I dont believe it's tied to your account in that sense. I believe the item has a 1-in-80 chance to disappear on use. Same result as your 'account-bound', but different way :)
