Mad Lib Contest

Free Prizes to Winners & Contestants

I will post a sentence, story, or phrase with blanks throughout it, and your job is to complete the phrase or story!

I will be giving prizes to the person who has the wittiest/funniest/most ridiculous/most entertaining/enthralling responses. Every page will have a new phrase and a new winner selected.

Only one post per phrase/page. For your answer to qualify, you must complete all the blanks in the sentence. Your answers do not have to be a single word.

If your post goes onto a new page, then it will not qualify in that contest. If this happens, the new phrase will be posted shortly, and your answer can be adjusted to match the current phrase. I will try to keep the following phrase in the winners box, so you can keep playing if I am not on Torn yet. Go to the next phrase if your post ends up on a separate page.

 

Prizes will also be provided to every 25th post! Only qualified entries will be added towards the count, and the choice will be made after the contest it falls in is over (this is to keep my count accurate when people edit there answers during the contest).

If your post falls on a 25th digit and your post is chosen as a winner, you will be guaranteed two prizes and one of them is guaranteed to be highly valuable. 

The winner of the 50th phrase/page will be awarded a FHC and the winner of the 100th phrase/page will be awarded a Donator Pack! So, be aware of the current phrase and what page you are on.

The 100th phrase/page will be the last contest held (For now at least, I will be opening another 100 eventually). Hop in while it lasts! The prizes will be good, so try your best please

Timmy has a mission. His mission is to get from his house to the candy factory on the other side of town. Unfortunately, that is not so easy. It takes Timmy 250 posts to get the factory, but his journey proves to have many twists and turns. Timmy needs our help!

The game is simple. We need to direct Timmy through town to get to the candy factory. You are in control of his destiny. Use the previous posts to guide his way across town.

The person who has the 250th post must have him getting to the candy factory. If the 250th post is Timmy entering the candy factory, the player who sent him there will be rewarded with a significant amount of candy. It cannot be edited though. If the post is revised, it will not qualify. After the 250th post, he will want to go back home. Same rules for the 500th post, but it must be him getting home with his candy. The person who gets him home on the 500th post will be rewarded with a Donator Pack (cannot be revised). If the 250th and/or 500th post is missed, incorrect, or revised the game will continue, but without rewards. Do not post twice in a row.

There are several older players that I have come across who have completed the education courses, and it is time for some new additions. I have noticed that Ched likes to keep things clean and even throughout the site, so I am working on three other courses in the meantime, but this is the first degree idea.

I am an Environmental Science Major and I believe that this game can somehow utilize that. Here is what I have come up with:

The completion of the Bachelor of Environmental Science unlocks the ability to purchase a Greenhouse on your property:

The Greenhouse is a property upgrade that allows players to grow flowers/weed from their property. Each flower has a specific grow time. Once the time is up, players may trim their crops, which in turn adds them to their inventory. There are three different size Greenhouse Upgrades:

Greenhouses Size Upgrades

Small – Fits 5 plants ($25,000,000)

Medium – Fits 10 plants ($45,500,000)

Large – Fits 15 plants ($65,000,000)

Only properties that have access to staff will be able to upgrade into a greenhouse. This means only the Penthouse-Private Island will be able to build a greenhouse. If you unlock this perk and live in a house without staff, you unlocked the greenhouse, but will not be able to use it until you move into a better property.

The more valuable the crop, the longer it takes to grow:

Players may be able to grow as many crops that their Greenhouse allows (depending on the size). You may continue to grow and trim as you see fit. When you trim a plant, a space in the Greenhouse opens up and you may choose another crop to grow. You may rotate your crops however you'd like. The Greenhouse will be accessible through the property details (just like airstrip/vault).

 

And of course, with a new Education, their is a new honor bar for completing the Bachelor of Environmental Science.

I was also thinking that an honor for crops grown could be cool. For instance, grow 1,000 crops - earn a merit.

The Greenhouse upgrade has been quite controversial, which I expected. I am going to keep that as the perk for completion of the Bachelor of Environmental Science, but I would like to hear some other effects of this. Rather than growing flowers, what else could the Greenhouse do? I like the idea of a property upgrade, for it has not been done, but what could we make it do without creating profit from nothing? Let me know, thank you.
