Hello all! The URT Summer Rally qualifiers begin at 00:00 TCT on Saturday the 11th of July and end on Tuesday the 14th. We'll have three races open up on the hour, every hour, from midnight every day until 22:00 TCT. Our expanded tournament will now see 64 racers compete, meaning that the 16 fastest drivers from each day make it through to the Summer Rally main event. The full schedule of races and their stewards can be seen via the link below:
The Summer Rally itself runs from the 18th of July to the 26th, the track schedule and divided groups for the rally will be announced next week after the qualifiers. For more information on the main tournament see the article to be published tomorrow morning.
All qualifying drivers will be posted on this thread following the conclusion of the day's session. They will also be notified via a message to their inbox shortly afterward. We will attempt to update you with the 16 fastest times of the day as often as we can during each qualifying session. Good luck everyone
This year's Summer Rally qualifiers are scheduled to run from Saturday the 11th of July to Tuesday the 14th. Sugarvalves and I would like to ask for your help in staging the event, with three races set to be run every hour except 23:00, just like last season. This means we need stewards (class A only!) from all time zones to volunteer and host races at various times of the day. If you are available, please reply to this thread with your availability in the following format:
Times Available in TCT: e.g. 11:00 - 20:00 Available for main tournament: Yes / No Available for prize races: Yes / No
Priority will be given to those with racing experience who can commit to all four of our qualifying days and who provide us with a specific availability time frame. Please dont write you could steward whenever, this is not very helpful.
Donator Packs will be paid out to those who steward our qualifiers, and those who perform well will be asked to host races during the main stage of the tournament.
The Summer Rally main stage begins on the 18th of July and ends on the 26th. We will need stewards for the group phase, semi-finals etc. Prize Races take place on the 26th of July as well, and we will need a lot of stewards for these, too.
I will message picked stewards in a few days, and for all others, Ill update you here, I am sorry in advance, we cannot take all of you!

As the Ultimate Racing Tournament draws closer to its end, we're wrapping things up the traditional way: a full day of prize races on Sunday the 26th, the same day our finalists will face off in their showdown.
This time around, we've prepared 3 prize races per hour, starting from 00:00 TCT on Sunday morning.
You can find the full schedule, along with assigned stewards, here: Racing schedule
Official prize races carry the gold flair, meaning double racing skill XP!
Tracks and lap counts are chosen randomly by our stewards, so please don't complain if you end up stuck in a 100-lap Docks race while plenty of other races are running at the same time. Just take a good look at what you're joining before you enter! :)
All races are free to enter for everyone, no password required. Anyone can join, anyone can win and you're welcome to enter as many races as you like.
In each race, your goal is to finish in one of the following positions:

In this expanded 64 driver tournament we have some new rules to share. I mean, we do it exactly as last summer! :D
Drivers will earn four points for first, three points for second, two points for third, one point for fourth. All races are 20 laps. Only the top four drivers in each group go through to the quarter-finals.
If two drivers end on the same number of points, we use total race wins as the deciding factor. If further tiebreak criteria are required, it goes down to most second places, most podiums, followed by average position over all six races. We've never had a situation where two drivers were equal on all criteria, but should this happen, we will make them kiss until one of them taps out a race-off will be run at a time that is mutually convenient for both drivers prior to the quarter-final, with the race taking place at Uptown over 20 laps and ending no later than 5pm TCT the next day.
Players who crash out in a race are given eighth position. If more than one driver crashes, the drivers will be ranked in reverse order in which they crashed, with the driver lasting the longest gaining the highest final position. Players who miss a group stage race are given a placement of 10th. Players who miss two group stage races will also be deducted one point from their total. Players who miss three group stage races are disqualified from the tournament.
Congratulations all, this was nail biting!!! We now have all our 64 qualified racers for the main tournament! Thanks for everyone who participated, who stewarded, who tried and set alarms all night...there is always next time <3
