Until I read the latest newsletter, i hadn't even realised that it has already been nearly 5 months since scamming was released.
I remember when it was released, we had also been waiting months since the previous crime.
A couple of days before, someone created a similar thread to this that got hundreds of like (I looked, but couldn't find the thread, if someone can unearth it, i'll edit the link in), and i'm sure that was the final push Torns management needed to release it.
If enough people like it, I'm hoping this thread will act in the same way.
First off, THANK YOU 🙏 for this amazing script, it is by far the most useful one i use for torn.
Request :
Would it be possible to add a filter for the custom races tab ?
I was thinking the same sort of filter we already have on the jail page for busting, or the armory filter.
Ideally, we could filter
Private races (that need a password) [show/hide]
Races with a fee to enter [show/hide]
Class of car permitted [checkboxes]
Races that are already full [show/hide]
Min/Max number of racers [double ended slider]
Circuit [checkboxes]
Race length [slider]
Time until race start [slider]
I'm sure there are other filter options but at least just the first 2 of this list would dramatically reduce the number of races that I'll never join shown in the list.
Sorry if this has already been suggested and is not possible (118 pages to look through 🙅♂️).
I agree that it should be a drug, it levels out the playing field for everyone.
The problem with boosters is factions with high respect can upgrade booster cooldown, so their members can pop a few boosters and have 1000 nerve, whereas having a drug cooldown makes it equal whether you be level 1 or 100 (apart from addiction, but that's just the same as xanax).
It also entices you to log on multiple times a day as soon as your drug cd is over to pop another instead of just filling up a 40 hour cooldown.
Maybe they set the bar too high by releasing the first crimes so quickly, and up to such a standard.
But now it feels like an age between releases.
For OC 2.0, unless the higher levels significantly change from the lower levels, there is no interaction, no learning curve, nothing to do but wait for days and hope there's still a spot on the next high level OC when it's over.
I can't see how that can be more exciting to anyone than a new crime that's going to take weeks or months to master.
