Hi all, As a Noob/Newb to Torn and you see all these abbreviations and you're like wth are they talking about? Such was the case for me. I asked questions and got some answers. This guide is to help us new Torn players to make sense of the abbreviations. Without any further adue here goes.
Work Stats
MAN - Manual Labour(or Labor, depending on where you're from) INT - Intelligence END - Endurance
Example: a job will say, for instance it pays 15,000 with 50 MAN and 25 END.
Example: You may come across a Faction's requirements to join them with certain Battle Stats like 2k STR, 2k DEF or maybe 2% bonus to DEF.
Another area I've seen abbreviations is, talking about job ratings or crime experience.
8* - 8 star, means it is an 8 star business(can be a number from 0 to 10 - 0 being just starting) CE - Crime Experience(also I've seen CE as Community Events) EDVD - Erotic DVD

I generally don't like tooting my own horn so to speak but, this to me seems worthy of it. I've been on Torn just 15 days and have went from 0 to 4.252mil in net worth. I'm 4(I think 42% complete)days away from getting the networth of 2.5mil for 7 days. That blew my mind considering I started with nothing. I'm not taking all the credit. There are some on here I owe a deep debt of gratitude. Tormented, StonedMonkey, Roxy, Bennyh, con1800(not full name), HT-Klovnikamp, my faction leader Omar, a bunch of people in the faction, PrincessPJ and others. If you're not mentioned here, please forgive me, I'm trying to be rude or selective.
Ayobanks messaged me a week ago, informing me that they were a new trader. At the time I had(and still have)traders I already use. Today I needed a trader, none of my usual traders were on. I decided I'd give Ayobanks a shot. I'm glad I did. I got fast, courteous, and mug free trade. Thumbs up Ayobanks!
I was looking for a trader early morning. So I decided to give Arrowshot a chance. Glad I did. Messaged him asking if he was up for a trade, he said come on. I setup the trade. And in moments it was a done deal. No mugging afterwards. And Arrowshot mailed me a receipt. A very Courteous, prompt, legit, and honest trader. And, he does at a fair price. I will add to friends list, upvote the thread and tell my faction and friends!

I came to the forums seeking a legit trader. I saw Cad's Trader and gave him a chance. So I messaged Cad and asked if he was down for a trade. Introduced myself and it was on.
