It is based on the fact that all items with a UUID (weapons and armor) have unique statistics saved against them, including totals over the item's lifespan and the original owner who created the item. In this way, if you create an item (by opening a RW cache, for example), you are forever bonded with that item, even if you immediately sell it. You are hardcoded into that item, like this;
I think this bond should count for something. So I'm suggesting that we bring this information into the item's display, like the image below, which states that you are either the original owner or not:
Then, i would like to propose a new item, something like a "Proof of Ownership" that applies to a particular class of items (slashing, clubbing, heavy artillery, etc.), that grants a buff to those items IF you are the original owner. Mockup image below:
The buff could be something standard, such as increase to accuracy or damage, or perhaps more interesting things, such as mini RW bonuses, reduced enemy stealth, etc. I think the proof of ownerships should be tradeable and stackable, but rare. Perhaps coming from NPC loot drops?
This item would be interesting, as it would allow users to improve their favourite weapons, but only if they are the original owner. Users would therefore desperately seek proofs for the item classes of which they are original owners, and it would incentivise cache-opening as opposed to buying RW weapons from traders.
Let me know what you think!
PS If you wish to see the item stats of your items, feel free to use my shiny app: Shiny PS. $10m to the first person who explains to me what damage_taken, hits_received and damage_mitigated are, for weapons. This app gives the following output:
I'm currently in a war where the opposing faction has been dominated. They are all either hosped by their own, self hosped or traveling to avoid getting hit. My faction has 1300 points over them in a matter of hours.
bro is getting schooled in strategy. Post was made a couple hours into war. It's now 18 hours in and they've lost the lead to the fac they were "dominating". It was way too early to get cocky. Still anyone's war.
you can take a look at an app i attempted to make for this, if you like.
You enter some details (your gym, your happy, your stat to train, and a few other parameters) and it uses the market prices of E-cans and SEs to see at what point it becomes cheaper to train with SEs. If your fac has voracity perk for 50% can effect, it's around 5b before SE's offer better value.
i made a shiny app in R that does a very similar thing, anyone is welcome to use it. You can check your known characters against the top 10k, 100k or 1m words in a password database (that i found on github). Let me know if you find it helpful.

I'm a noob with the ratz, only two months with them, but I came because they promised high activity and real wars. God damn did they deliver! Flatline were awesome too, good hearted banter all the way through, thanks everyone.
I've developed a tool that tracks a faction for 48 hours, then produces a dataset that models each member's activity around the clock. From this, a peak-time and dead-time is predicted. For certain ranked wars that involve turtling with surgical concerted pushes, this information can be very valuable.
No deal was made for this war, and Outlaws would have been roasted in a full on brawl, so they turtled until the deadtimes of the main Pagans fighters, and then struck and won the war;
So the question, how to know the deadtimes of an opponent faction? My app tracks the target faction for a 48 hour period to build a profile of each member. The modelled activity can then be seen in the app for each inidividual member, or in selected groups. Below is Omanpx from The Pagans; From the 48 hours of surveying, my app predicts their peaktime to be 16h TCT, and deadtime to be 02h TCT;
By layering the activity curves for their top hitters, we see a clear dead time around 3-4h TCT. Outlaws capitalised on this and made easy work of the Pagans.
has the idea been floated to have a 24hour period after matching where RW terms can be agreed? If no terms are agreed by leaders of both facs by the term deadline, the war proceeds as usual.
But if the leads can come to an agreement, whatever they agree from a list of checkbox options could be implemented for that war, such that deviating from them is impossible.
This could affect how outside hits or ED works, or introduce some weird restrictions that could also affect the loot payout in interesting ways. It could also allow very imbalanced matches to agree to a handicap of some kind.
For example, leads could agree that finishing hits with a specific weapon type give double respect, or that revives are always on, or that med cooldown will only be 3 hours, or any number of things that might introduce some interesting mechanics to RWs.

feel free to try out my little shiny app that lets you match your known bruteforced characters with a database of known passwords. If your word isn't in the top 10k list, you can check top 100k and top million (last one is a little slow, but also not really necessary)
Example: If i know that the 3rd, 4th and 6th characters are C, K, and E, and i know the 1st character is not F from an incorrect guess, i get the following options;
