Also I am genuinely non-binary so I am glad the enby marker was added even if it was because some trolls were being dipshits. I just like being me and being me isn't hurting anyone on here, so just don't be rude and weird about stuff like gender, sexuality, skin color, etc., it's really not that hard
Old post by now, I know, but it gets to the crux of the issue for me (and other non-binary people like me I reckon)
My biology? Irrelevant for you. Like, seriously. If you see me in the street, or here on Torn, you should not remotely be interested in what my "biology" is. That is for my doctor, my sexual partners, and basically nobody else.
"Gender" (NOT biological sex) is something we as a culture have formed over time. It's not something you are born knowing. You learn to identify certain things as feminine, masculine, and so on from growing up. There have been plenty of cultures around the globe that recognize more than 2 genders and have done so for a long time.
As a result, when I say "hm, I do not think the word 'woman' feels quite right for me, but neither does 'man'", that is all it is - The way I feel, and as a result identify. You can think there are as many genders as you please, I just want people to adress me correctly (and yes it is absolutely okay to ask if in doubt), just like you want me to adress you correctly. It's that simple, and for all of the interactions we will have in this game, the only thing you ever gotta think about.
I skipped all the other posts because stuff was VERY much going in circles and I wanted to explain my piece regardless of what your current bugbear is.
You are very much wrong on the 2 gender front, is what I am getting at. You can believe and say what you want, but I and others can also very much tell you that you are going against scientific understanding and increasing societal understanding of what gender is. You are entitled to claiming wrong things, but I am very much not obilgated to take them as seriously as the actual proven facts - And not just my lived experience, though I obviously am biased towards that one too.
The country I live in, Germany, for instance has legally recognized the need for a third gender marker in our state issued IDs a few years ago. Our version of the supreme court found it to be unconstitutional to not recognize intersex, non-binary and other identities that do not fall under "man" or "woman". Again, you can also disagree with the German supreme court, I am just saying they do not make their rulings for fun or based on "trends" or something.
I hope you ultimately re-evalute yourself and your need to see my existence as an offense. Also, pro tip, stop calling people "retards" because that is a pretty shitty insult and most places now recognize it as a no-go. By all means, call people in public that, but it will not go so well.
Third-party gambling circumvents the site's gambling exclusion setting. That alone is enough reason to ban it in my opinion, since it literally makes a site feature essentially pointless. It's also a nightmare for the site mods to regulate and moderate, and full-on scams beyond what should be allowed on the site are common. Add more minigames and activities to the in-game casino? Hell yeah, go for it. But this third party casino stuff has no place here, in my opinion.
Huh, interesting. Appreciate you taking the time to reply. I just wonder why it is being like this, because at home on my desktop PC, it always showed my stats accurately when I clicked on my own profile page. Now I am travelling and installed all my extensions and scripts for Torn on my laptop, and suddenly I am shown as 484m - Just curious what causes this discrepancy. Was the timing just so that my BSP stats got updated while I was switching devices? Because my first instinct was to assume I made a mistake while installing.
I am having an issue running BSP correctly on my laptop - It keeps telling me on my profile that I have 484m battlestats when that'd be great but that is wildly inaccurate. I manually imported data with the correct API key and it still shows this. What is wrong?

You can meet some darn fine people no matter where you are. Clearly, there was a very special person behind that Domo-kun avatar. The memory, appreciation and love shared will last longer than the pain. Be kind to yourself, grieve what was lost, celebrate what was had. My condolences for your loss.
I would genuinely like a new mission NPC with new missions. I know most of what we do in this game is just different flavors of clicking buttons to make number go up, but I wouldn't mind a bit more variety in that particular flavor. There's gotta be more to this world than just staring at Duke's dumb mug every day, ya know?
IMO, Torn is not remotely fun without a good faction to vibe with. Grow and learn with people you like and logging on every day feels a lot less like a chore. Read Baldr's guide, look (politely) for a faction you like the looks of, and make number go up.
As someone with an impulsive, addictive personality, I highly appreciate this change. Torn casino games & caches have no grab on my particular leanings, thankfully, but opening stuff like caches in other games has gotten me bad before. I am too vulnerable to random goodie bags, especially of supposed high value, for the stupid thrill. It is like an awful Kinder egg for adults. It's why I completely avoid gacha games and anything with real money purchasable lootboxes and related mechanics now. No game can safeguard everything, but making the easiest impulses much harder to follow is a great step. You can never protect everyone all the time, but you can do a lot of good by making it too hard for some of those initial impulses to go through unimpeded.
