Posting the first part of the study. The intent is to analyze and compare slots outcomes for different bet amounts, and see which one is the most favorable.
Part 1: Outcomes from $10K Bets
The sample size for this is 1,695 bets placed.
I won 26% of my games with the $10K bets. [image: i.imgur.com] These wins can be broken down as below: [image: i.imgur.com] Interestingly, the massive firing range paying back 40x the bet amount, came up as frequently as Gunfight, Vandalism and Homerun (i.e. twice). In those 2 times, it made 11% of the total winnings.
The most useful though, has been Flock o' Ducks, coming up 118 times and netting me $3.54M which is 23% of the overall win amount.
The table below shows the chance of each outcome happening:

Coming to the final and most crucial point, what has been my ROI?
[image: i.imgur.com] In spite of losing 74% of all my games, I have managed to win back 89% of the total money I had bet. Thus the ROI on betting 10K in slots. at least for me, has been -11%.
In subsequent posts, I aim to collect data and compare the winnings on other bet amounts, and determine if there is a clear winner on how much you should bet on slots for maximum gains (or minimum losses).
For now, any feedback would be greatly appreciated, and if you think there are additional data points I should be looking into to make this more comprehensive, do let me know.
Also, if you think the study has merit, I could use some funding especially for the $1M and $10M data collection. I'd be happy to pass on all the winnings.
1. Was TAC vulnerable to 3rd party hacks? 2. Was TAC in its current state being misused by other players? 3. Was Fr00t knowingly involved in deals that are against the game rules? 4. Was an API vulnerability exposed that the Torn dev team didn't account for?
Bogie? A little help needed to clear the air.
Also I don't think any of us would mind hearing Fr00t's side of the story, since a lot of factions have benefited from TAC.
Since stocks are intangible assets, it doesn't make sense to stop players with laptops to buy stocks while they travel. However, if the idea is to stop the stock market from being used as a bank, I would like to suggest the following:
Implement different transaction taxes for intraday and interday trading.
While the interday trading tax can continue at 0.1% as it currently is, intraday trading can have a tax of 10% (haven't really worked out the math). The condition for intraday would be 24 hours from the time of purchase.
So for instance, if I buy 30 XXX stocks for $200 each, i.e. I spent $6000, I'll have to wait till the stock prices go to at least above $220 before I can think of selling as otherwise, I lose money on it. If the possibility of that happening is high, the 10% tax suggested can be increased.
Open to constructive feedback to improve upon this suggestion.
