Looking back in time, I am one of the luckiest people in Torn. As someone who entered the town of crime with no connections, no skill, and no previous preparations I have very early found two insanely important things needed to progress in that game very fast.

Ignorance is Bliss book and a person who taught me how to use it.

My account started on the 12th of September 2020. I bought Ignorance is Bliss from the mission shop on 17th of December and began reading it on 23rd.

When I started, I was a balanced player with 25000 battle stars each or 100k total. When I finished... I wish I still had these pictures. I rose to at least 800k each stats. An increase of 3300%. In 1 month. Unbelievable.

That boosted me up to hyperlight speed. I still had no money, I even burned what I already got on that book, but it was worth it. However, I did not believe it at first. It took someone to change my mind, someone who knew what kind of treasure fell into my hands.

That someone was Verboten. She taught me, looked up for me, and even sent me some FHC to boost me up. Without her, I would surely not reach my current heights.

And so I pumped my stats, and pumped, and trained, and finally, I crossed the point I think is worth mentioning. And getting hyped on.

Half a billion stats before 500 days old. Sure, not the fastest. Not even close. But it's here, and I would not want it any other way.

I hunted for a screenshot... and of course, I missed it (^_^;) but here is what I currently got (I pixelated my total stats because I am ashamed of my current ratio :P

I'd like to take the opportunity to thank these people who always supported me, especially deneb, who gives me the motivation I need by beating me in NNB and chasing with his stats.

And V. Thanks so much. I know we went our separate ways, but I still consider myself one of your nubs.

It's sad to see a "leader" of one of the top factions throwing shit at forums just for the sake of throwing shit.

I had a great time fighting with the CAPS LOCK TEAM. I have no idea what went wrong, and I frankly don't care. Diplomacy, politics, discord game - most of us just did hits and I am proud to be one of those hard working fighters.

As far as I checked on TornStats, this is the fastest win, being over in 3 hours and 37 minutes (previously held by MMCP, 3:50 against 39th Street Killers).

Hats off everyone, you've shown what you're capable of, and we have to sit back to the drawing board.

And a quick update, after 3 years of fighting through class C, upgraded Colina took the class B in 13 days :D

However, the time gate of "until next summoning" is very big unknown. I have no data on how many players will go for this, but there will be a point when the players who wanted it, will have it, and there will be no new ones to pursue it, meaning the last "looters might have a permanent items anyway.

Would it be possible that these items last for for exactly one year, but require an activation of some sorts, to make sure that the player is really able to benefit for it? I'm thinking here of Star's Ladso eye that can't be utilised properly if the owner doesn't have good books to use it with for a year.

The same issue with impersonating real people including mass murderers (both nation "leaders" and serial killers). Why these names are not banned, I do not know and when reported I do not understand why these are not forced to be change.

 

But do I want to play Torn, knowing my personal opinion is different than staff's opinion on that matter? Yes.
So I have to live with it somehow. And this is the choice we all have to make.

Well, now I am waiting for another source of income.

 

This single move seems to kill both the museum and all flying-related activities, maybe except flying for xanax.

 

We are all hopefully incorrect and it will not have much impact, but looking at it, it is a very, very controversive decision.
