Having worked in this funky-dunky hair Salon, on the corner of an iconic landmark, for a year or so, I'm now running the asyl- I mean, Salon and we recently hit the #1 spot of all hair salons!  ✂️🐉✂️

CURRENTLY HIRING

(Need 1 person; either a Nail Tech or Stylist; minimum 10k in lead stat.)

Required

Be active every day and keep your company addiction below -7.

Full perks unlocked:

+20% slashing weapon damage bonus (passive, perfect for wars and chains event)

-5 hours a day off your education time for points

Reduced enemy stealth (passive)

Ability to see people's money on hand (if you're a mugger 😉 also costs job points)

Increase your experience for job points (level up faster)

Pay is 50k a day plus, free rotational trains every day*.

(Keep in mind that 5 hours education reduction is just 1 hour less than a Book of Carols, so it's almost 10mil worth of education time you're reducing every day, with no booster cooldown 😉 and that's not including the extra slashing damage, mug target spy, etc)

Do you remember the original Champagne Killers? Did you ever wish it'd return?  Well, it has!

Part of the CRyPTo Alliance and spawned by the very faction that was originally spawned by the original CK, Baby Champers, we (specifically our leader, Ar53_Hol) brought it back as the official Champagne Warring faction!

We're currently warring twice a month, with a dedicated training weekend every month, to help you grow your stats as well as your income. We also have 1 chaining weekend each month, where we pay our members for their hits and even award prizes to the best performers!

We're run by experienced members (if you know our leader, you'll probably know him as the Sheldon Cooper of Torn, minus the ego) who bring various perspectives to the game but speak with 1 voice, as we all have similar mindsets on how the faction should be run. We're here to help you learn, as much as help you earn.

As our slogan says, what we need most is active members, who can be online reliably during our (currently) bimonthly wars.  To spell this out in layman's terms, there are 3 main approaches to warring:

Attacking - your stats are somewhat relevant

Assisting - your stats are completely irrelevant

"Turtling" - your stats are completely irrelevant

In all three of the above approaches, your activity level is 100% relevant!  So, please think carefully about this, before applying, as unreliable members will have to be let go.  Warring is definitely a lot of work but, if done right, it can be both fun and the most profitable thing you do in this game, especially during your first 2 years!

Except, the majority of players (myself included) didn't buy the bazaar to be an "official" trader, that was always just an optional way to play this game.  Most of us bought it, because it was billed as an easier and cheaper way to sell things, for an upfront investment.  Now, it's simply none of these things.  👎🏻

At this point, you'd be as well just applying the refund automatically, while making the bazaar an optional feature from day 1 for all players (at no cost, with those refunded keeping their existing bazaars).  There's simply no value in buying a bazaar anymore, if you're unable to dedicate hours every week promoting it in a pokey online browser game!  🤷🏻

First of all, thank you (both!) I almost had a seizure trying to decipher that hot mess of a "graphic!"

Secondly, is that it??  🧐  Jesus fucking Christ, this is a pointless complaint!  🤷🏻

This is my fifth year/event and, I'm inclined to agree, it's been my worst experience with the event so far.

Since Points-Gate, the only time I flew until a few months ago - except for rehab - was during this event and last year, there was always something decent to buy within 5 minutes of landing.  This year, I've flown 7 times, only once got what I flew for - after waiting almost an hour - and the other times, I had to settle for something that nobody would normally buy, because I don't have all day to wait around for a flawed restock system.

And before there's a snarky comment on this, yes, I DO use TornPDA and the foreign stock info - I've ever tried a couple of other scripts for the same purpose - and, all that's provided is a prediction that comes and goes, multiple times, with no restock actually occurring.  It might be more accurate in some countries for certain items but, not for where one flown to since yesterday.

I don't normally complain about game mechanics in the forums, only when it's definitely an issue, so take this as you will.  I'm just sharing my own experience with a broken feature.  *sigh*

Edit: just to clarify, the empty shelves analogy is spot on, as I've literally been looking at completely empty (nothing available to buy) screens for almost an hour.

Please make sure you've read the attached post and, that you're ok with what's offered/required of you.  

Unless I grossly misunderstand how the API works, the self-exclusion issue some have mentioned, can be included in these trashy sites by insisting that a custom API is used, that checks if the end-user is self-excluded in Torn, in which case, it blocks their access to the other trashinos AND, setting a rule that the API needs to belong to the person using it.  However, enforcing that would be a ballache.

Also, as you eluded to other off-site games/sites, I have seen 1 recently that's NOT a casino, it's a trading card style site, using Torn items as the "collectibles."  My first impression was that it's just a worse version of a trashino, as there's 0 chance of getting anything tangible back* but, if done well enough, maybe with Torn support and not just dominated by whomever has the most pixel money, it could be something interesting.  🤔

And in case it's not already obvious, I'm for banning them.  There are plenty of casino style games people can download and play online (NOT involving real money) if they still desperately need that type of dopamine hit.  🤷🏻

* To be clear, I've not used it myself, yet and have no affiliation with it, it's just the only non-trashino site I've seen this year, that might fall under the rule you're looking to implement.

If you mean ThunderBlitz [2684774] on TORN, the public forum record doesn't exactly establish “twat” as a clinical diagnosis. 😄

What it does show is someone who:

• posts a lot and is very willing to correct or nitpick details;

• has a fairly sarcastic/self-deprecating posting style;

• occasionally gets into the weeds over technicalities—enough that another player described them as “technically right, which is the most annoying type of right.” (Torn)

• is also pretty helpful in some threads, particularly around scripts and game mechanics. (Torn)

So, based solely on the evidence: probably less “objectively a twat,” more “pedantically helpful forum goblin with a strong commitment to being correct.” 😏

If you're gonna mix and match and the best armour you can afford is Assault, then Assault with motorcycle helmet might be better, due to more throat coverage.

I have a full Riot set, the extra melee mitigation is completely irrelevant when they're using guns, or, when you're throttled!  😬

Otherwise, just wait a year or ten more and buy one of the endgame armour sets.  ⏳
