“People with Asperger’s usually have good language skills” … You’re acting as though he has no idea of what anything he says means. He’s not going around just randomly messaging people saying hateful things out of the blue, he’s messaging people who are attacking your faction during a war. His reaction to frustration of being hit kinda speaks for itself. Which would also lead one to believe with full confidence he has some idea of what’s going on.
Again one of the defining traits of having Asperger’s is having average or above average intelligence meaning he would know the difference between right and wrong.
He was mad he was being attacked during a war, he said some really hateful and disrespectful stuff to complete strangers with the only caveat “provoking” him being the attacks.
I’ve seen him in the bounty section SEVERAL times since I started doing bounties months ago, inactive chain targets don’t get bountied just for fun.
“They are more “self-centered than selfish,"with an attitude towards others that may range from indifference to deep concern, but is rarely malicious.”
While he may have trouble understanding social cues and interactions, he’s not stupid.
You talk about people bullying him yet it should be excused that he told someone to “get cancer and die”?
You can keep excusing his behavior all you want but it doesn’t make it okay to say things like that to anyone. I’m empathetic to anyone with any neurodevelopmental disorders, I am not, however, empathetic to people saying things like “die scumbag”.
He knows the difference, he knows the implications of those words or he wouldn’t choose to use them on others. He’s mad he was being attacked during a ranked war, he said himself he just woke up and was trying to fly. It’s not an excuse to be a jerk to everyone around you when things don’t go your way.

My day was okay, thanks for asking. Went down some rabbit holes, that’s always fun. Sorry to hear about what you’re going through, that’s incredibly tough. I don’t talk to my Mom anymore either, it’s hard but sometimes needed to heal yourself and keep your peace. I hope that things start to look up for you soon.
Marry someone IRL that also plays Torn. My IRL hubs (and in game spouse) got me into the game. The only Torn related thing we “fight” about is who’s stats are bigger than who’s on any given day. 🤷🏼♀️
Since I started playing this game, there’s been a few names that constantly stood out when I would read the forums, yours was one of them. I always wondered if you were genuinely grumpy or just playing a character. I was too afraid to ask because you’re scary so thank you for finally answering that for me 😂
Also, hi! Nice to meet the behind the scenes personality!
I was there last year I had a lot going on IRL… I slacked off big time because I was busy, stressed and just wasn’t as interested. I had left my home faction a year or so prior to grow my stats some and joined a different faction. Met some great people there and it was nice don’t get me wrong, but it wasn’t the same. Life finally calmed down some at the end of last year and I re joined my home faction earlier this year and it’s been so much better. I’m still a small fish in a big pond but I’ve got a stellar group of people around me now and we have a lot of fun, we war, train, bs in Discord etc.
This game is just a huge grind, sometimes you need a break and sometimes life forces you to take that break. I find it’s much more enjoyable if you’re around people you like and can engage with about the game and real life.
You could also always do like me and buy yourself your dream car in real life, mine is my 2007 Shelby in Torch Red I got about a month ago … Talk about a great in real life boost and hobby 😂
Texas here! 🤘🏻 🧡
My brain read that no problem… Wtf is wrong with meeeee 😂😂
Too many words for my dyslexic brain … anxiety and panic every time I see it now. Wall of text to say you’re successful. Maybe OD’s will now become less text “You’re f’ked go rehab druggie” 😂
Thank you for replying, and that makes a lot of sense. It’s crazy and scary to think how easy it is to find information on people here. I could elaborate on my displeasure within our government but that’s another topic for another thread 😂
For me, and this is just me and my thoughts, it’s the history of SMTH and then learning little bits and pieces of information here and there over years about the factions that make me question things. Back when I first started playing, one of the SMTH factions was the first factions I encountered in a Ranked War. They were unbelievably strong, coordinated, fast and extremely efficient. Afterwards things would pop up about them in the forums, information about the feddings, rumors etc. and I would always read about what was going on because of that first war.
Looking into members when I’ve been matched with them since I’m always scratching my head … how do they have such massive stats, how is their NW double or triple mine at less than a year in? What are they doing that I’m missing?
The inner workings of the faction have been very hush hush for a long time, and now there’s a bit more insight but it’s still murky at best. So naturally people are going to question, especially considering the history. Torn doesn’t really forget things, especially things that happen on such a large scale.
I help/work with an online trading card game, I’ve been there for over 3 years and there’s 1 person who has my email and 2 maybe 3 other people who have my personal phone number. We have Discord that we also use for communication but that’s it. The others who have my number are friends I’ve made in those years but it doesn’t go out to anyone else. I couldn’t imagine giving my number out so freely in Torn, especially for a loan on a game and that’s the part, for me, that’s confusing. I have read all the replies on why it takes place, but it still just boggles my mind.
And please don’t take this as me accusing anyone of nefarious acts or anything, I don’t have all the information I don’t know everything, I’m just trying to explain from my perspective why it seems over the line for myself and probably many others. I know security concerns along with concerns for online and real life safety are the first things that pop into my head when I hear about giving a phone number out to strangers online. I know there is a huge culture difference as well but I think even with that, it’s still alarming to hear this is how things are done and what’s causing some of the more intense conversations here and scrutiny over the possible potential for real world harassment. I know in the US with a legitimate phone number it’s very easy to find a lot of information not limited to but can include addresses, prior addresses, first and last names, previous phone numbers etc. with a quick search and by paying just a few dollars.
p.s Edited typos because I’m dyslexic and apparently can’t write properly anymore lol

This always cracks me up, in a few Torn Discords I have one of my Mrs. Torn pics as my pfp and still get called “brother” “bro” and “sir” 🤭
As far as OP’s questions, the only time I’ve ever had any weirdness was when I entered Mrs. Torn, lots of DMs about if I liked heels or combat boots better … 🥴and some random DMs of “hey what’s up, what are you up to, where are you from”
As far as everything else, it’s been fine. Everyone I run into automatically assumes I’m a dude playing as a female character. I’m married to my IRL fiancé in game, he gave me the PI so I have full control of that, I work for a company he owns and refused to change my gender to a man when I wanted to work there so he had to put me in a spot where I could still be a female in game, so that was fun.
Other than that just the norm of “women don’t exist on the internet and they definitely don’t play Torn” 😂
I’ve made a lot of great friends who don’t treat me any differently if anything they think it’s awesome I play with my fiancé and comment on how they want to get their ladies to play the game with them. 😊
I’m not sure if this qualifies as famous but I danced for the ‘96 Olympic Torch races when they were held in Atlanta. I’ve also performed on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville Tennessee.
I don’t anymore, when I first started I was a little more worried about it but now with being so busy in real life it’s too much to add.
If it was some short competition and I was on a down week, sure for that time maybe I would, but for every day play no.
I don’t think any game should feel like a job, it’s a game it should be fun. Plus my sleep schedule has finally calmed down some and I’m not about to re screw it up 😆
Sending lots of love and positive vibes on your upcoming surgery. I hope everything goes smoothly, quickly and your recovery is mostly pain free and easy. Also rooting that you get those good pain meds for your recovery 😉
You got this friend! Wishing you nothing but the best and a pain free life ahead! I’ll keep you in my prayers 💜
This is the best description of Torn I’ve ever heard 😂
Because you’re never too old for gaming. Keep in mind one day you will be “old” and younger people will be asking you why you’re still doing whatever it is you love to do.
Just let people live …
I lost brain cells trying to read this …
That is 100% happening on Roblox. There is another adult gamer in the Discord for a game on Roblox and her younger sister was verified and put into the adult age group. The older sister contacted Roblox and said this is incorrect she’s in the wrong group she should be in the like 9-12 group or something and they essentially said there was nothing they could do and it was okay that it’s just a “estimate” …
I also know several parents who got put into kids groups and their kids were put into adult groups. These are all people who verified without using their ID’s and just used the facial scans. The whole thing is just a mess.
Some of the new laws being proposed here under the guise of “children safety” is limited data collection but also having to provide a facial scan to be verified by AI … Nothing says limited data collection like handing over your biometric data to a random tech company. But don’t worry it’s “deleted” … Unless you read the fine print from companies like Persona.
Spot on. Roblox is even more of a mess now as well, they implemented age verification by way of facial recognition through AI 🙄 or by providing your government ID. Lots of kids can’t talk to their friends anymore and even their own parents because of the restrictions. This is also pushing kids onto platforms like Discord. People were selling age verified accounts on eBay at one point, AI was putting adults into 9-13 year old categories, children in adult categories and now all the bad actors can find their desired age category and get away with much more than before because there are no adult eyes around watching what’s happening in the chats.
The best part is I have seen several parents post in various groups about using their ID or faces to verify their children’s accounts and how upset they are that they’re now stuck in the adults only chat groups … The very thing Roblox was poorly attempting to fix, kids chatting with adults and parents didn’t think twice to use their face to verify for their kids. The whole thing has solved nothing, except giving big tech more personal information to do with as they please.
Parents are a lot of the problem when it comes to the internet now a days and part of the reason why all of this age verification is coming to many platforms.
Use the controls, watch your kids … No child needs unvetted access to the internet it is not a babysitter for children.
My son has expressed interest in playing Torn and he’s been told sorry it’s not appropriate, he’s 9 for reference, and that was the end of the conversation. I don’t know why it’s so hard for so many people to simply parent their children.
